Important Review !,
April 8, 2009
By fishn4fun

"Before I purchased this case I read reviews and was a bit concerned if my rod would fit in the sleeve. I’m not a pro by any means and use a Berkley Lighting Rod Classic (with this case). It fits snuggly in the case with plenty of room for any reel I want to put on it. The largest eye on my rod is 1” in diameter. The only draw back to this case was the strap. It is only 2/3 the length of the case and would prefer it to be tip to tip. Overall a good case and will probably purchase a second one."

Salmon & Steelhead Rod Case?,
March 29, 2009
By Bill17
from Chicago,Il

"Strong well built case, yes. All the salmon & steelhead rods I own are longer than 8'. I had the double one and even if it was long enough the reels would have to be staggered. In case of a jarring impact that would leave room for movement and breakage. I would image that these would be good cases if the rod you where storing was by it self and under 8' long."

Rod case,
October 16, 2007
By Catfishman
from St. Louis, MO
|
"THE CASE IS WELL CONSTRUCTED AND HAS AMPLE ROOM FOR LARGE SPINNING REELS TO FIT WITHOUT HAVING TO DISMANTLE THE HANDLES. HOWEVER IT IS A LITTLE TIGHT WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING THE LARGER EYELETS OF THE SPINNING RODS INTO."

Salmon and Steelhead Rod Case,

"This is a neat product except the tubes are too small to fit spinning rods in because of the large guides. Bait casting only will fit in the tubes."

I CANNOT Believe the poles don't FIT!,
July 9, 2007
By BernStLawrence
from Clayton, NY

"I just purchased a 6 foot Ugly Stick with reel and a Cabela's brand pole with reel and neither fit! The last large eye on the poles will not slide into the tube...I just can't believe they would sell this product without testing it. Be prepared to return this product."

Cabela's Salmon/Steelhead Rod Cases,
April 5, 2007
By TeRose
from U.S. Forces Germany
|
"Case is cheaply constructed. Rod tube inserts are thin and probably could not withstand being stepped on as I was able to begin to collapse it with hand pressure. The reel pouch offers very little protection except for a thin piece of padding between the reels, and about half of the side area. There is no padding to protect reels from underside impact dangers,(Area along the zipper). All in all, not worth the price."
