Knives of Alaska Coho Fillet Knife,

"This is the perfect knife for any size fish. I fish for pan fish as well as larger fish such as Stripers. The knife is flexable, and keeps its edge. I love the handle, it is molded to fit your hand perfectly."

not a true fillet knife,
October 26, 2007
By mike4921

"Very high quality knife but not a true fillet knife. Fillet knives for fish need to be very thin to be optimal. I purchase this knife for other uses such as cutting through large roastes on my game so I am happy with it for that but if you are purchasing this for fish l would suggest a thinner blade knife."

FILLET KNIFE,
October 16, 2007
By Catfishman
from St. Louis, MO
|
"BY FAR THE BEST FILLET KNIFE I HAVE HAD IN MY HANDS. HOLDS AN EDGE EXTREMELY WELL AND THE SERRATIONS ON THE TIP MADE TRIMMING UP THE EGDES OF SALMON FILLETS QUITE EASY. HANDLE IS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH NO CHANCE OF IT EVER SLIPPING OUT OF YOUR HAND. THE SHEATH LEAVES SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED BUT THE KNIFE IS TOP QUALITY."

Excellent Fillet Knife,
August 27, 2007
By ColdFisher
from Anchorage, Alaska
|
"We caught over 30 Silver Salmon in one trip this summer off of Perry Island in Prince William Sound, Alaska. This knife dressed the entire batch with only one light touch-up of the blade. The beefy synthetic handle affords a solid grip even with wet, slime-covered hands, and the serrated tip makes that first skin cut a snap. I’ve owned dozens of fillet knives over the years, but this one could prove to be the best."

"This knife is the last knife you will ever want to use... The blade is sharp and I have had no problem filleting my redfish and grouper down here in Florida. The front point is edged so you are able to get under the skin and slide the knife up. AWESOME!!"

excelent quality knife!,

By mutti99

"This knife fillets large salmon and walleyes with ease. The serated tip is great for cutting through the tough skin of a walleye yet the blade is beautifully shaped to fillet even small panfish. I would recomend this knife to any outdoorsman who demands quality from their gear. Matt from Michigan"

Best fillet knife,
November 21, 2006
By mifisherman
from Michigan
|
"I used this knife for the first time this year on several king salmon. The serated tip allows you to break through the skin with ease; the handle fits comfortably in your hand; and the best feature of this knife is its ability to provide boneless fillets in one pass.
The flexible blade allowed me to float the blade along the Salmons' rib cage without allowing any bones on a finished fillet. My friends continued to say, "These look like a professional did them right in the store, are you sure this is the first time you have used this knive".
It takes alot to impress me and I was amazed at how quick this knife allowed me to fillet 9 king salmon ranging from 15-20 lbs.
By far the best knife I have purchased in my lifetime."

What a fillet knife!,
November 20, 2006
By PatrickG
from Houston, TX
|
"This knife is a great example of "You get what you pay for." Except in this case, it's really not that expensive for a knife that is this good. The blade comes out of the box like a razor and holds an edge for alot longer than I expect. The serated tip is fantastic at cutting small rib bones.
The first time I used it, we had a very big catch, including a nearly armour plated Warsaw Grouper. Usually I go through several knives on a haul like that day. This knife still shaved hair after several hundred pounds of fish.
