"This review has been several years in preparation. I thought I wanted a one-outfit-does-all cleaning kit, so several years ago I had my wife buy this for me for Christmas. I just today had reason to clean all my guns.
Today was the final straw with this kit. It is now in my dumpster. Today the multi-use handle broke.
This kit was always a pain to use due to all the multi-parts that required constant changing between firearms.
This kit is just one more example of the junk on the market today, including the "4-in-one" clothing that has been designed by persons never having had a need to use it in the field."

Great Equipment for Cleaning,

Too Many Adapters,

"There are 6 different adapters to adapt brushes/patch tips and handle to the 4 different rod sets and 2 handles. I did buy the set because it had about the best selection of items in it but did not expect all the adapters. Still, you can "adapt" to it.
If you have a caliber like a .303 or 6.5mm you wind up buying an extra brush kit because you are limited to popular calibers in this one. Although, to be fair, many cleaning kits are like this.
However, you can run a .357 brush down a .303 if the barrel is clean. Other than that buy a separate brush set.
All of this goes for the swabs as well which are basically useless because you can use Hoppe's 9 and a patch to protect/clean/lube a bore for storage. If you use the swab for anything else, like soaking it in ammonia to get copper out of a bore then you have to chuck it after you are done.
The patches appear to be made of rice paper and are sized as if you own a .22 and/or an elephant gun. I believe it would be more versatile to add a better selection of brushes and do away with the patches - anyone can make their own patches.
For someone just starting out or needing something in a hurry it is a worthwhile kit."

"This kit contains enough pieces to clean .17 cal to 10 gauge guns in one hardsided case. Even has a pad to place parts that have been cleaned until assembly.
The rod handles interchange, but require adapters to fit some of the rods. Would have been nice if the handles would fit all the rods with out the need for the adapters."

"The kit came well stocked with brushes rods etc, however I would have liked to have seen an additional compartment to store other items like addition cleaning solutions. Labels would have been nice to identify the caliber brushes and rods. When the case arrived it was dented but no big deal."

Cheap and not complete,

"The .17 rod broke and is in garbage. To many adapters to use with the rods ans the handles. I'd had to buy other brushes.
Start your own cleaning kit with a medium size tool box with 3 piece rod and good quality cleaning accessories. You will be able to store your solvents, lubricants and few tools ( srewdrivers, Torx ) in the tool box. This kit will be more handfull at the shooting range and at the hunt."

"The cleanig kit needs improved upon. The brushes and barrel swabs quickly fell apart and the swabs and the patches left lots of "fuzzys" in the barrel and the action of the guns being cleaned.
The brass jigs however, were of good quality.
I did find that the brass rods were made of a poor quality brass (soft) that would break quickly. The non standard threads on the cleaning rods are a pain becuase you must always use an adapter to use and brushes.
Due to the low quality I woul dnot buy again. I would buy a product from a more well known manufacture."

"This cleaning kit just blew away any other kit i have ever purchased !!! It has everything you could need minus the solvents and cleaning oil . I was able to do my shotguns (16ga. and 12ga.) as well as my rifles (30-06 , .32 speacial , .22 mag , and the .308 ) and even my black powder rifle and handgun !! I could of just sumed it up all in one word awesome !!"

Guncleaning headache,

"We set out this afternoon excited to use our new Gunmaster Super Deluxe Cleaning Kit. We needed to clean 2 shotguns and 4 rifles. We found the cleaning patches completely useless. They "fuzzed" and shredded. We couldn't even wipe the guns with them. Also the cloth heads shed and compacted badly. One of the attachments with a slot to hold a cleaning patch snapped off durring cleaning. We are not inexperienced gun cleaners. This was a frustrating experience."

"It is good for what it is. It was miss leading by the description though. I thought it was for all calibers in between the ones they mentioned. But I have a 308, one of the sizes worked ok but it was supper tight and I am worried about using it again. but for the calibes that this kit is designed for it will work just great."
