"Nice combination of low speed torque and high speed performance. As for true weedless performance, these props are as good as any out there-certainly better than anything Motor Guide has, I've tried them all. The newer weedless wedge 2 with the angled tips is definitely better than the original, but I have no complaint with the original designs and at maximum speed I find the original seems to have less vibration. Usually I fish very heavy cover and own an array of trolling motors-interesting, the older class Minn Kota Maxxums, ie: 55 and 65 thrust, continue to try and run even when jammed which is a plus in very heavy cover, while the newer desings such as the Maxxum 80 thrust are idiot proofed and will not run at all until a jam is cleared, very annoying, the 82 thrust Motor Guide does the same thing. Being in heavy vegatation with an 80 thrust motor that won't turn at all is ridiculous - my older Maxxum 55 and 65 out perform their bigger cousins in the real tough stuff, especially the 55. By the way, I tinker quite a bit, I've fitted a Motor Guide with weedless wedge Minn Kota props and achieved better weedless performance-in open water, the stock Motor Guide Machete or Hydrilla works best though-I can't recommend the Ninja."

"I have an Endura 30 which came stock with just a regular prop. At a lake near my house, the water contains very dense weeds near the top of the water. On three trips to the lake the stock prop would become so bogged down with weeds wrapping around it that my brother and I literally had to give up on the motor and use paddles to get through the weedy areas.
After that, enough was enough and we found this prop. Somehow their claim seemed far too good to be true, especially knowing how dense and tough the weeds are at the local lake. But, for the price, we figured it was worth a shot.
The first thing that was obvious was that the length and width of the blades is significantly larger (perhaps 30%) than the stock prop. Also, the curvature and surface curvature is much more pronounced. Still, it was hard to imagine any prop spinning in those weeds and not grabbing them and wrapping them around itself.
On our maiden voyage with the new prop we took a third fisherman with us for the first time. Right out of the launch there's a very large weed field so I headed straight for it. First thing I noticed was the speed. The larger prop seemed to propel us faster despite having the weight of an extra person onboard! But most importantly, we blazed nearly unimpeded right through several hundred yards of weeds! The prop worked almost magically! We spent the next 3 hours maneuvering through some of the hardest-to-reach areas with no issues. The only time weeds wrapped around the prop was when I put the motor in reverse, but even then, the weeds didn't seem to slow our backward progress. And when I switched back to forward, those weeds unwrapped from the prop and were flung away. I didn't have to pull the motor out of the water to untangle the prop even once all night long! Truly amazing! Worth every penny! Well done Minn Kota!"
