Poor,September 12, 2009
By waterman45from A serious fisherman, who fishes often.
"The pump is cheaply made, the mounting plate for the pump is a pain to use, & the filter that I purchase from the manufacturer had to be trim to fit. I should have spent a little more money & purchase a good. Don't waste your money."

By sentrysamfrom Georgia
"I had bad luck with the one I purchased,I should have turned on the areator before putting bait in ,well water doesn't have much O2 and all my bait died before I got to the lake,My fault I'm sure.May have better luck next time ,tank works well, just make sure you areate before putting any bait in it.."

keepalive baitwell,June 21, 2008
By Ninahfrom Dorchester County, MD
"Great livewell. I run it off my raw water washdown and either let the aerator run or, with a piece of hose attached to an outlet near the top of the unit, let the water cycle through without the aerator. The tank is blue inside which is great for calming the fish but makes it difficult to see how many baits are left in the tank. I'm looking into painting the bottom of the inside of the tank white and seeing if that would let me see the remaining fish."

Keeps my Bait Alive and Kicking!,November 24, 2007
By DRLinSCfrom Chapin,SC
"I read the reviews on this item, and probably would not have bought it if it wasn't on sale at the time. I have used it during the summer months of 90 to 100 degree heat to keep my striper bait (herring) alive, and it has worked well for me. I do add bait water treatment and ice, but here in South Carolina, that's a must no matter what tank you use. I have not had the filter clog once. Knowing what I know now, I'd pay full price for it today."

KeepAlive Bait Tank,August 13, 2007
By Tbirdfrom Dillsboro, IN
"First time I used the tank I put about 2 dozen 6 to 8 inch shad in it and the small foam filter plugged up very quickly and they all died in 15 minutes. I changed out the small filter for the 2 large ones and used shad keeper and the second time I keep several dozen shad alive for hours If you use the tank for shad you must use the large shad filters and it will work just fine."

Pump not good for this application,November 30, 2006
By greenranchfrom Lake Raystown, PA
"The tank its self works fine but I went through 2 of the aerators (pumps) in only 10-12 fishing trips. The pump appears to me to be a boat bilge pump and maybe it can?t handle the air being mixed and/or running for longer periods of time than the 3-5 minutes that most bilge pumps run."
