"Good product. Comes with two rubber bands for attaching. I am concerned about how long the rubber bands will last. Also, even the larger rubber band is a little small for larger fiberglass rods (30-60 lb saltwater rods). Would be fine for 5 - 20 lb rods I think."

"I broke on of the hook holders on my trolling rods so I thought I would put a Fuji hook keeper on it. Well, i pops off occasionally and flips up and down. There are better hook holders out there that are cheaper. I am going to take mine off and try a different style/brand."

"Easy to install and easy to use. Sure beats hooking your bait to your eyelet where there is no wire keeper on the rod. Also keeps you bait from floating all over the boat in choppy water. Stays out of the way when not inuse."

"I recently bought a Team Daiwa Zillion rod and it didn't have a hook keeper. Most of the rods I had all had hook keepers, so I was used to using one. I really didn't want to put the hooks through the eyes of my new rod. I went to Cabelas and saw this item. It is great, easy to install, lifts up and away from the rod for keeping a hook and even flips down out of the way when fishing. It looks great and in no way distracts from my rod."

"I had a few rods that did not have their own hook-keeper, so I thought to give these a try. They've held up well. I really like the fact that you can flip them down so they don't get in the way. No more having to use the guides to hold the hooks."

"Bought a handful of these for my half dozen Shimano Cumara rods. These rods just might be the best quality/value rods on the freshwater market but the existing hook keeper needs help. Who wants a built-in hook keeper (in the butt of the foam handled grip) that will insure a handful of treble hooks from a crankbait when picking up the rod? This is an easy to use alternative that weighs nothing but is handy when you need it."

"I have installed these Keeper on many rods and I think they work better than the metal eye that is on some rods. Works with most any size rod diameter, it has 2 different O rings for attachment. A must have product for me."

"I like these to put on my rods which didn't (for some reason) come with hook keepers already on them. If there is any flaw I found it is with the size "O" rings that comes with it. The larger of the two fits snug on my ultralight rod. With a little stretching and working with it I managed to get the large O ring around my 7 ft heavy action rod. I wouldn't try to stretch it any farther or put it on a bigger rod for fear the O ring would break"

"i bought this product brand spankin new off the internet. i put it on my rod, put a hood through it over one night, the next day my bait was off of it. i looked at it and the plastic piece at the end snapped off! my bait wasn't on it but 7 hours.....i would definetly not recommend this product..."

"I have purchased a number of these hook keepers and have been very pleased with them all. I don't understand why all rod manufacturers don't put hook keepers on all of their rods. I have these hook keepers on all of my rods that didn't come with a factory installed hook keeper. It certainly prevents tangles. I especially like them on my fly rods so I can keep my spare rods rigged and ready to go. I would recommend them to anyone."
