walleye food,October 20, 2009
By Jonboatjimfrom Live in Indiana and drag alot of jigs in the lakes
"When the eyes want them you have to have them in all three colors of all sizes. If I had only one bait I could use its the RR, I catch everything in the lake on them."

Road Runner,September 19, 2008
By SgtDave
"I've used this product for the past five years. It is without a doubt the best crappie lure on the market. I realize that confidence is a "MAJOR", factor in fishing, how ever this lure can be used by both expert and non-expert alike with almost the same results. I highly recommend this product to any and all who wise to use something that will catch crappie and really just about any thing that swims. You will be amazed at the results."

Best white bass lure I have found,March 10, 2008
By Poojfrom Madison, Alabama
"Tipped with a plastic grub, the Blakemore Roadrunner is by far the best lure I have found for white bass, known here in Alabama as "stripe" they are tenacious fighters and quite plentiful when you locate a school. Both the white and chartreuse have worked well in eighth and quarter ounce sizes. Once in a while a largemouth or crappie will smack it for a bonus mixed bag. I love this lure."

Unreal how well these things work,February 26, 2008
By TomFLfrom Palm City, FL
"I've been fishing these (and only these) since I got them a few weeks ago. I've caught probably 250-300 crappie on them combined with the 2" cabela's grubs and the 1.5" bekely GULP! crappie grubs. The suprising bonus is the bass eat them up as well, have caught a ton of bass while crappie fishing, up to about 7 lbs on these, so they're definately not just a "small fish" bait for sure.
The hooks are super-sharp and the paint lasts reasonably long in my book. My only complaint is I lost 2 fish when the eye of the hook must have opened enough to allow my slip-knot to come out, leaving me with no fish and a loop at the end of my line.
I would give them an easy 5 stars if it weren't for that issue."

Canada Fly In trip,July 9, 2007
By SmallmouthBrad
"Recently went on a fly-in fishing trip in Ontario Canada. The Chartruse Road Runner 1/8 oz and 1/4 oz tipped with a black plastic or with live leaches produced Smallmouth, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Lake Trout. This was the case also two years ago on a similar trip, different lake. Largest Walleye caught on this bait on my trip was 8 lbs. Largest Smallmouth was 5 lbs. If I could only pick one bait to take on a Canada fly-in trip it would be the Chartruse Blakemore Roadrunner."

A Roadrunner, but even better,June 12, 2007
By CoryGfrom Foristell, MO
"I am a huge fan of the Roadrunner jighead. I've used them for many, many years for many species of fish. The Red Hook Road Runner is an even-better version. My favorite part is the barbed collar. My biggest issue with the standard Roadrunner is that plastic trailers would tend to slip. No longer an issue! The blood-red hook can't hurt your chances, either. I like these."

Blakemore Road Runner Jig Heads & Crappie Thunder,May 7, 2007
By HarrySamfrom Near Nshville, TN
"Many livewells in our boat have been filled with slap sized crappie using Blakemore Jig Heads with Crappie Thunder Bodies. We caught 180 big Bluegills & Red-eared or as we call em around here -- "Shellcrackers" in one day. We kept 70 and released all the females full of eggs. Naturally that was an exception -- but we catch many fish, including bass over two pounds and catfish from two two eight pounds. We release the bass -- our three sons, daugher-in-laws, and grandchildren have many fish-fries every year. The fillets are great cooked on a grill. We caught smallmouth, pike and walleye in Canada many on Blakemore Jig Heads and Crappie Thunder bodies. We lept enough to grill every afternoon. The chartruse head with blue/white body is best in our area lakes."

Road Runner Ran Hot,November 20, 2006
By Ducksterdoug
"Used these on my annual Canada fishing trip this
year. Caught Bass, walleye and Perch in big numbers.
I'm glad I bought enough as my Brother in-law
and another fishing buddy fell in love with them.
I will bring even more up north next year. Worked
well with bare hook or twister tails."

Roadrunner Success,November 15, 2006
By MAW79from Indiana Crappie Fisherman
"I've used Blakemore road runners for the past several years fishing for crappie. I consistantly catch more fish on the rigs I set up with this jig head. The quality is unsurpassed and it will stand up to a lot of abuse. The action of the blade is the best I've found for this type of jig head."

Good Lure!,November 13, 2006
By fishingnut
"This is a good lure that will catch all different kinds of fish!! I've caught panfish and bass on this lure.
Pretty easy to use--just toss it out and reel it back in.
Good quality and haven't had any real problems so far!"
