"What can be said bad about a Gamakatsu Octopus hook-NOTHING. Most certaining one of if not the best hook on the market. They are a bit pricey and I do lose quite a few while fishing for striped bass here in NJ due to bite offs from bluefish, but considering that this is the first link between me and the fish, I want it to be the best that I can afford. They are sharp right out of the package and extremely strong. I have dulled them from time to time, but a few passes on a stone and they are as good as new. Buy 'em-Fish 'em, You'll like'em too! Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER"

"been using gamakatsu for the past 5-6 years. from salt to fresh i will only use these hooks. i use the 2/0 octopus for "wacky" rigging bass and size 8/0 octopus circle for the stripers. never had a hook break. very strong, sharp, well made hooks. the only hooks i buy"
