"We were really impressed with these seats. We originally had the small molded plastic seats that hurt my boyfriends butt and did not have much for cushioning. The Big Man seats have made fishing on the Columbia River a lot more comfortable. If you want a good seat that you can sit in all day, this is the one for you!!"

"It's big, it's comfortable, it appears to be well-made given the modest price. My only complaint is that the seat is very upright--when wearing a life vest (which I'll do on the Puget Sound all the time) the thickness of that on my back pushes me forward enough that I'm sort of leaning forward or at least exceptionally upright--not terribly comfortable. Last time I went out I actually didn't use the seat, and just sat on one of the square foam "throw" PDF's, and was just as happy.
But, my wife loves the seats and has no complaints, and that's why I bought them in the first place."

"It's hard to purchase a seat without sitting in it. Like buying a pair of shoes online. However, this is a very good seat. It is extra-wide and comfortable. It's not as soft as sitting in my recliner, but, for a few hours out fishing, it's a dandy! The mounting was very easy, with standard pattern screw holes. I recommend it for anyone who desires a little more room."

"My wife & I had been shopping for some new saats for my recently refurbished 13 ft Whaler; we use this boat primarily for evening "sunset cocktail-cruises" on the bay, so we were looking for a good combo of comfort & price. These chairs are well made, with good cushioning & a nice high back. We have used them several times & are very pleased. However, convincing my wife to buy a chair named "big man" took some doing! She envisioned some oversized chairs for oversized people; these chairs are not much wider than standard sized chairs, so they don't look as if you strapped a Lay-Z Boy chair in your boat. Good product, good price."

"I bought both the big man and the regular seat. the seat is comfortable but was hard to install to the swivel mount. The design does'nt let you use the full adjustment of the slots on the swivel and the mounting screws were to long. I had to mount the swivel to a board 2 inches wider than the seat and then bolt it down to the bench. it was probably desisned more fore a pedistal mount."

"Quality is fine but they are not built for the big man I am 6'3" 250 pounds and I go right through the cushion to the hard plastic below. I do alot of trolling on lake superior so a guy is sitting for alot hours in a day and they just don't hold up. I would say if your under 200 pounds these seats would be plenty comfortable but for the big man I would say pay the extra for a better seat,thats what I will be doing."

"This seat not only looks good and is well constructed but it is really comfortable which means if I fish dawn to dusk loch style I dont have the preverbial aching back at the end of the day. Also the constructing of the swivel to the seat is so simple, both are really well made and for the price it is extremely cheap. A great seat for a great price."

"I live not too far away from my local cabelas and so when it was time to replace the seats in my boat I went there first. They had a number of models set up so that you could try them and this was by far the most comfortable seat they had. I got the big man for the driver position and bought 2 of the Cabela's Angler Series high back seats for the boat, great look, great feel."

"This seat is awesome. I've spent many an uncomfortable hour in the jonboat wishing for a seat like this one. The seat arrived as ordered. I installed it on the boat and talk about comfort. It's like sitting in my favorite chair at home but now I can enjoy fishing all day. The padding is more than plush and I have no more lower back pain from sitting on a hard deck. Leaning back is no problem, the hinges are sturdy enough for even Big guys like me (280 lbs) and if I stand up for awhile the seat bounces back every time. I'm really impressed with the quality and workmanship of this seat and would highly recommend it. Thanks Cabelas for a great product!"

"The seats themselves were great, but I had to return them because they faded so badly. My boat sits in the sun all summer, and the red seats looked brown by the end of the season. I would only get these if you get a solid color, or if you keep your boat out of the sun. On the positive, like always, Cabelas allowed me to return with absolutely no problems."
