fish eagle II blanks,October 8, 2009
By JEWBfrom oh
"I bought a fish eagle II 7' spining blank and built the rod for my Dad as a gift. He then wanted a 6' med rod built, so I used the fish eagle II blank again. He used it for a season, then broke it by accident so I made him another one. He loves it! I also made myself one. Very sensitive and very pretty. Thanks Cabela's."

great rod blank!,June 16, 2009
By mre48from Missouri Ozarks
"I have built several spinning rods and the Fish Eagle II compares with much more expensive blanks. The rod performs as rated and is the perfect blank for fishing grubs and small baits."

Cabela's Fish Eagle® II Spinning Rod Blanks,March 2, 2009
By JKuzzzzz35from Davenport, IA
"These rod blanks are high quality for the money. They are sensitive and powerful. I use these blanks for walleye spinning rods which I build for guides on Leech Lake in Minnesota. Their touch and feel are every bit as good as more expensive name-brand blanks. I prefer the fast or extra fast taper rods. Great buy!"

Great Blanks!!,January 30, 2008
By K9Deputyfrom Niles, MI
"I have built several rods with these blanks and plan on making many more. The quality and selection of actions is excellent and the dark green color is a big hit with my customers. If you want to build a rod that would rival those high dollar blanks for a fraction of the cost, than these are the ones to use!! Thanks for an excellent product!"

A great blank for seasoned pole makers.,November 19, 2007
By Mossislandfrom Hayward, Ca.
"I have been making fishing pole for more than 20 years. I have made kiddy poles and high end poles. I bought a few of the Fish Eagle 2 a year ago and created ultra light poles for stripebass and Large mouth bass. I`ve caught them on these blanks with plenty of back bone. Making them is quite easy and the wrapps held on to the blank like a blanket. I beleive a true custom pole maker can make a great pole with these blanks. One example of a good time with the pole is catching a 6 pound large mouth on a 9 ft salmon ultra lite , fish eagle blank. I would recommend this to seasoned makers. Did I mention it also comes with a warrenty."

Rod Blank Review,August 21, 2007
By Silasfrom Chicago
"This blank is not good enough to use for artistic rod wrapping purposes. The base is not a consistant diameter as it tapers, which creates bumps that can be seen easily without any magnification. Any full filled base wrap would be warped around these bumps and would look sloppy. Also the shapes would probably make it impossible to fully close the wrap."

A really exceptional rod blank,August 20, 2007
By huskyloverfrom Upstate central NY, near Syracuse
"I made this rod for my wife for a b-day present. She loves green, and the color of this rod is really nice, a dark green. I chose green thread, with gold metallic accent thread, and gold guides, all from Cabela's (of course). It's absolutely beautiful! Upon completion, we took it trout fishing. It's an ultralite, 5 1/2 ft., and it's fantastic for trout. Sensitive, strong, but truely an ultra light. She caught a 15 inch brown, and it felt lke a salmon!! A fun blank for ultra light trouting. We can't wait until we really put it to the test against 20+ inch walleye in the kayak."

keeper!,April 4, 2007
By ospreyfrom north east minnesota
"great looks -sensative- tough- if it was a woman it would be a keeper! I am a wilderness guide and custom rod builder and can assure any one that these blanks are great. they can take getting banged around in the canoe/boat and the rocks and still have great touch. i have also found that the discription in the catelog are very accurate. the tappers on all the blanks i have used have been highly verstile"

5 STARS EASY!!,January 10, 2007
By CDCustomRodsfrom Tri-Cities, Washington
"I baught two of these blanks last year and wanted to get them on the water a bit before I personally gave em the okay. I made two walleye rods and gave one to my fishing buddy and fished the othermyself. We have both been blown away at what these rods have to offer. Not one problem and as many as 200 fish on each, shad included...walleye isnt that good here. Anyhow, we put these 7 footers to the test. They stand up well to a mid to hard bend holding plenty of backbone. They also give great sensitivity to underwater structure and the lightest of bits. Cabela's could sell these for much more as far as Im concerned and I'd still buy em. (Don't get any ideas guys) I have Loomis, Lami's, Fendwicks, Batson's etc. and this rod fishes just as strong, soft, sensitive, quiet, hard and sturdy as any of those hands down. These are not the "Eagle" rods to us here any more..their the "GREEN MACHINES"......"
