Super spoon,November 3, 2009
By Spoonloverfrom Sherman,Tx
"Spoons are my favorite lures, and Acme Kastmaster my favorite manufacturer. My favorite of all spoons is the 3/8 ounce Kastmaster blue/silver, which for some reason is hard to find. I was getting ready to make a trip to Rockport,Tx for some saltwater fishing and ordered several of the blue/silver Kastmasters from the Cabella's catalogue and was really glad that I did. A friend of mine and I waded Copano Bay, me with my favorite spoons and my buddy with live shrimp. He got skunked and I caught ll fish including a 17-inch speckled trout and a 25-inch redfish, the biggest I had ever caught. I really love that spoon."

Kastmaster,October 29, 2009
By JGM3from Idaho
"This is the most consistant spoon for me when fishing for trout! Silver always seems to be the best. Tried "imitation" rip-off versions of this type of spoon but the original Kastmasters are always the best!"

Kastmaster Spoons,July 12, 2009

"If I was given only one lure to travel and fish for several spieces of fish this would be it. Deadly on trout, crappie, and white bass, and with the larger sizes pike, and spring bass."

Kastmaster spoons,July 6, 2009
By NoSpinnerfrom Vista, CA
"Used these in Eastern Sierra (CA) lakes & streams last week and caught limits of rainbow trout on them. They were more effective than two of my old favorites - one a spinner and one a spoon. Especially good fishing lakes from shore, when long casts are necessary. Definitely winners."

deadly on striped bass and blue fish,June 15, 2009
By basshuntereastendfrom Long Island New York
"kastmaster lures(refered to by surf fisherman as tins)have proven themselves as one of the most consistant producers of striped bass and blue fish off the beaches of long island new york season after season. From early spring until late fall. It is most effective from first light until dawn. kastmasters lures are equaled only to bucktails. These lures are a must have in your lure bag. I never hit the beaches without them."

good,May 5, 2009
By pinfishfrom SF Bay Area
"Kastmasters are very versatile. Last year it caught hundreds of fish for me. I use kastmasters from the shore because they cast far. I use them in bright sunlight most of the time. They are useful for searching for schools of fish. Once you find them, you can switch to your favorite lure. The only problems are that they seem to ride high in the water column and the stock hooks are not strong enough for Stripers. If you use single hooks sometimes they will dig in the sand when the water gets skinny at the beach."

Kastmaster--Gold,February 23, 2009
By Rainbow5from West Coast
"This is one trout getter lure..They are light enough to throw for hours on end and with solid hook up's..I seem to get more hit's on the Gold than Silver. But that's me..
One thing I do before throwing the Kastmaster is too make sure the hooks are sharp..Stick the hook point into your finger nail or thumb nail and if it sticks, it's Sharp!! If it slides, get a hook sharpener.."

piscator,December 30, 2008
By TroutPiscatorfrom Kentucky
"I have used the Kastmaster Gold in 1/4 ounce and have had tremendous success catching both brown and rainbow trout, especially, in tailwaters. This past August I caught a 19 and a 17 inch rainbow. A quick jerk along with a slow retrieve works best. Definitely, my go to spoon."

best vertical jigging spoon available,October 31, 2008
By wannabebassmasterfrom Hanover, PA
"I live in Southern PA and I live for ice fishing once its too cold for the bass to bite in the traditional spots. I have fished with these lures for well over 10 years. The plain crome color and plain gold have worked the best for me. I have caught bass, trout, perch, and bluegills on these great producers. If I was stuck in a boat with only one lure to have I would want an ACME KASTMASTER.
Eric"

Versatile lure,September 29, 2008
By bassfisher247from Goodyear, AZ
"These lures are great for bluegill, any bass, trout, and even catfish. I have slammed all of these fish on the 1/8 oz. My dad, 6 year old brother and myself caught well over 40 Largemouth bass while following shad boils. Very good lure for price."

Fish here don't hit these,May 9, 2008
By ChrisPAfrom Pennsylvania
"I've been killing everything with inline spinners, but nothing seems to hit these Kastmaster Plain Spoons.
The lures seem to be of good quality, and with a very good treble hook. I think the action of the lure in the water is just not to the liking of the fish in my area. Like I said, the Blue Fox and Mepps spinners have me piling fish at my feet.
I will say that these spoons cast a long way. I can almost throw the line off the reel with my 7' Cabela's Tourny Trail, 8lb braid and one of these in 1/4 oz. Throwing these things a hundred yards has been the most fun I've had with them."
