"For years I fished with 1 1/4 oz Little Cleos. I can't find them any more and have had to settle for the 3/4 oz ones. We fish for northern, walleye, and bass in Canada and Little Cleos consistently get the fish in the boat, especially the northern, whether we are trolling or casting. I find it easy to slip Little Cleos off weeds when trolling by lifting my pole up 90 degrees. It is also fairly easy to tell if there is a weed on the lure because the lure will not work right or will surface. The fish love the gold, silver, red & white, and burgundy & copper ones the most. Alas, they don't make the two last color combos any more. If I ever were to get stranded on a Canadian island and had to choose one lure with which to feed myself, it would be a gold Little Cleo. You can cast it farther than almost any other lure and it will get results."

"I tried this lure years ago as much because it was my grandfathers name, but I can tell you it is the best all around lure I have ever used. I use it 90 percent of the time indiscriminately for trout, small mouth bass, perch and kokane and it fishes as well for me as any other lure that my friends may be using. Of course the all silver is my favorite and it works as well in streams as it does in lakes. I always keep extras as I never want to be without, plus will give it to good friends when their mojo is not working. This is a no-brainer lure and should be in everyones arsenal."

"If fished right, this lure does not fail. Could not buy it in Alaska when I lived there. Had to go to Cabela's or straight to Acme in Rhode Island for it. Slammed all the fish with it. Salmon, trout, dolly's, steelhead. Recently I was invited to Davis Lake, Calif, with the "in crowd" after years of not being invited. I fished Little Cleo exclusively. I caught the biggest and the most while the others tried EVERYTHING. Just got back from Lake Alpine, Calif, where I was told by a tackle shop that Little Cleo's don't work there. 10 Rainbows over 5 pounds, and over 50 catch & release's later (6 hours) there were lots of watchers that were convinced they do work there. The only trout that died was one that I released and as soon as I did - an Osprey took it. Of the new Cleo's .. Rainbow and Firetiger are my favorites. You can only get my true favorite straight from Acme in their "classic" package. Retrieve or troll it slow so it wobbles, it's not a spoon - it's a wobbler .. wobble it .. it works better than any lure I've ever used for trout type fish."

"I love love love the little cleos. My favorite is the 1/4 or 1/8 rainbow trout one. I caught LM and SM bass, pickrel, pan fish and perch all in one day. Especially useful around structure but stock up becuase ive lost a few cleos to underwater logs."

"Everybody knows how well Little Cleos work...so this review isn't so much based on the quality of the product, but more on how great it is that Cabelas has such great sales from time to time on items like this! "I trolled a Little Cleo FIRETIGER on a Canadian Lake (07/18/08) for the first time. I had on a 2oz sliding weight keeping it near the bottom. Two minutes later I had a 41" Northern on! I was using light tackle (10lb line) but had it boated in ten minutes. Magic!"
