"I have been extensively fishing Otters Soft Egg patterns throughout the spring with excellent results. The squishy texture and life-like color make for excellent egg imitations. Because of the soft texture they simply are not durable. I could only average 3-4 fish at most on one pattern, sometimes 1 fish with destroy the pattern completely. Make sure you tie up and carry plenty when you go fishing. I tied this pattern with egg veil attached in front of and behind the egg, both tied off and cemented. If you are looking for a realistic egg pattern you have found it."

"These have got to be the best product to tie egg patterns with. I prefer the apricot pattern and use red thread with a bit of pearl flash and super glue the egg on. Its best to tie a good head and a bit of a ridge behind the egg to stop them sliding down the hook shank. Best of all they look nice and the trout here in New Zealand on the Ngongotaha Stream, Rotorua agree!!. Often they will work when all else fails and the last Trout (Brown) to be enticed by them weighed in 9.5lbs. Highly recommend them."

"The Otter's soft eggs create a realistic egg pattern for presentation. I tie a red thread on the hook, using either a bead head or sequiens on both the front and back of the egg to make it durable. The thread makes a realistic egg sac that you can see in the transluscent egg. The egg does melt in heat so take care when using."

"Pleasantly surprised at color selection and sizes. I found the 4mm apricot is a near perfect match for the native trout eggs in our streams (CO)...no brainer to "tie" and they dont pick up mud or grass stains..."

"These are great attractors for Great Lakes steelhead. They can make a difference when strikes are far and few between. I've had a few days when yarn eggs got no action, but caught a few on Otter Eggs. On an active day, they work like gang-busters. The only drawback is that a good strike or catch will most likely destroy the fly."

"I am a fly fishing guide on the Yuba, Feather and Sacramento Rivers and I fish the Trinity every chance I get. This is now the only egg I use. Easy to tie just take one egg or a cluster, add some yarn a little flash and a hook, it�s all bad news for the Trout and big Steelhead. Guides that I fish with, clients and friends are putting these things in their boxes by the dozens. They are as soft and as translucent as the real thing, the fish do not want to let go. PS: It would be nice to have these in a 8mm"
