"This product is more trouble than the savings is worth. Hole diameters and bevel depths are very inconsistent. Many of the beads would not fit on any of my hooks (including three different popular brands) in any size and ended up in the waste basket. Even on barbless hooks I often could not get them around the hook bend. Beads were also poorly finished with sharp, thread-cutting burrs at hole and bevel edges and some holes were not fully drilled thru.
This product's basic design has the potential to be superior to other popular beads because a little less metal is drilled from them making them both heavier and more easily centered on a hook shank. Unfortunately only a fraction of the beads I ordered were usable due to a lack of precision in workmanship."

"The large beads are great for tying steelhead flies, when a little extra weight is needed to get the fly down in the strike zone. They hold their brite color well and do not fade with use. Cabela's is the only place to shop for fly tying materials."
