"Lucky craft does it again!!! throw this lure near any underwater stump, rocks,flats you get the idea. let it sit for about 15-20 seconds and start giving gentle twitches with the rod tip down and some slack line and watch the explosions happen but remember to wait for the weight to set the hook. I highly recomend the 65 or 85 in aroura blue. very easy to walk the dog with and they have a very good hookup rate for a topwater. I fish castaic lake in so california and its one of the most pressured waters in the U.S and this lure flat out works. late may 6 am -930am 15 fish on 50 casts"

"After reading all the reviews about the Sammy, I had to try one, and so I purchased the Sammy 100 MS American Shad. I have really never felt comfortable fishing a topwater bait, but the Sammy is so easy to fish that anyone can be a topwater pro in a very short time. The action is fantastic; in fact many water birds try to attack the bait thinking that it is a wounded fish. I recently fished a small pond early one morning and had the most fun fishing that I can remember. With four casts I had four explosions on the surface and managed to reel in three excellent largemouth bass. Yes these are expensive lures, but the excitement and production of the Sammy is well worth the price!"

"I'm not one to fish Factory Painted lures but I had to give the Sammy in American Shad a try! We fished numberous lakes in So Cal. last year and I couldn't believe our success rate with it! Lake Silverwood I caught 6 Stripers one over 15lbs two over 10lbs and 4 largemouth 2-3 pounders on a morning bite. Piru when nothing else would work even plastics Slam 2 Largemouth at 1pm with the temp at about 110 in a brushy cove Then 3 more in open water (shad boil). Perris was out of control we caught over a dozen bass! Still Carolina'n is the way to go on Perris! But had to try it. Castaic Stripers! Stripers! and more Stripers! Paint does chip after a few monster stripers! but still caught fish! I was stumped a time or two but thats fishing! Great So. Cal Lure!
But wait there's more! I left the Sammy with my Dad so I had to buy another Yes I bought another! I tried fishing it here in Washington and slammed the Salmon Yes I said Salmon in the Puget Sound when they were rolling on herring along shore. Every time I head to lake Washington I'll try it 1st light back along the reeds I always catch a Bass and somtimes a trout! Pot hole's, and a few private farm ponds have all falling to the Sammy! I'll be fishing It in Montana this summer for Smallmouths and largermouths were I feel I'll have know problems hookin up! I could go on and on but hay buy one or two and try it yourself!

"I use the Sammy in clear water topwater situations to call them up. It casts well, and walks pretty easily. I like the way it sits tail down at rest to make it easier for the fish to inhale the bait.
It's a pricey bait. That is the only downside."

"This bait flat out catches bass. I have the 100 and 85 in natural colors. Smallmouth and Largemouth love this bait. The rattles make a great noise. The 100 is extremely easy to walk the dog...85 not as smooth. Overall great topwater bait that i would recommend highly."
