Technology and performance come together to make these casting rods some of the finest we've ever
fished. Combining the best features of our already established XML series with several modifications,
they are incredibly light, super sensitive and extremely durable. Titanium wire Recoil® guides
are hard, yet flexible enough to endure multiple deformations and always spring back to their original
form. They can be pushed completely flat against the blank with no adverse effects. Gone are the days
of bent and broken guides. And the advantages don't stop there. These guides are also four to five
times lighter and more sensitive than ceramic guides, more wear resistant and won't rust in any
environment. The guides
also resist grooving and wear associated with today's braided lines. Since they flex with the rod, there
are absolutely no flat spots providing a true arc when the rod is under strain. The blanks are our
legendary XML rod blanks which are 25% stronger than the originals, but at the same time 10%
lighter. Crafted of ultra-high 64-million modulus blended graphite using strength-enhancing Spiral
Core Technology and Generation III bonding resin, they have an aesthetically elite looking titanium
gray color that sets them apart from the competition. Down locking reel seats eliminate exposed
threads when the reel is snugged up. Casting reel seats sport our MAG Touch® dual blank
exposure for enhanced sensitivity and an aluminum barrel for strength. All rear grips have a composite
cork butt cap.

7 ft XMLTi,November 14, 2009
By rxbobfrom iowa
"I purchased 7 ft H and didn't realize until I got it home that it wouldn't accept the rod balancers like the XML series. This is a big negative. Otherwise the rod is ok. I use it for jig fishing for bass."

Gerry,October 7, 2009
By CapGerryfrom Eastern Long Island, NY
"I fish saltwater on Eastern Long island, NY from a boat. My custom rod builder didn't think this rod was worth the price. I have some who disagree with this opinion, including me! I purchased the 6' 2" baitcaster & matched it with a Shimano Calcutta 200 GTB (8 bearings) with Sufix braid. My wife (5'2" and a skilled bay fisherman) loved this combo! Despite the cost of this combo, she really loved the lightweight "feel" backed up by the power when the rod was under strain. I took her to our local tackle shop to see if she could find a rod at far less expense to marry with the Shimano 200 GSB. Answer: No Way! I think I have the perfect combo for light saltwater bay fishing. It's very expensive - rod+ reel - but I thinks it's the "cat's meyow." Just put this rig together. Will write you more after a season of fishing. Bottom line: I am looking forward to it!"

Cabela's XMLTi Casting Rod,September 1, 2009
By RedBass1from San Antonio, TX
"After anxiously waiting for 6 weeks (backordered), I received the new rod, but immediately took back to Cabelas in Buda, TX for a full refund. The rod was extremely tip-heavy and unbalanced. Thankfully, Cabelas refund policy and employees are second to none."

Nice Rod For The $,August 17, 2009
By leonirufrom NorthEast Pa.
"Seems to be a well-made rod. Finish is very nice. Great sensitivity. I've only landed relatively small fish so far with it, so I can't comment on it's large fish abilities. Time will tell as to the quality of materials and workmanship. Got it at a sale price comparable to what an E21 Carrot Stix goes for."

I love these rods!,June 30, 2009
By RicMicfrom Atlanta, GA
"These rods are just awesome, light as a feather, perfectly balanced and very comfortable grip. I like the way the reel seat works and fits also and that the working parts are all hidden. The rod color is low key and complements the colors of most reels as well. These rods are pricey, but I saw the exact same guides on a Loomis rod that was almost $500! I have two of the 6'2" medium actions and these are just real nice for bass, walleyes and hybrids under most conditions and a good size for using in a medium sized fishing boat. The handle is just the right size for the rod as well and it fits well in most rod holders. I also have several of these rods in the saltwater version, which I don't see listed on the website anymore! I should have bought more!"

the perfect rod,April 8, 2009
By 011950from Terrace Bay Ontario Canada
"Having bought the XMLTI rod a couple of years ago for my spouse, I watched her response and new found ability to land fish after fish as compared to her previous equipment. Asking her what the difference was she answered that you could feel every little take or nibble and yet have the backbone to set the hook. I had the priviledge at a later date ( after pleading somewhat) of using the rod and immediately felt the sensitivity, lightness and the hook setting strenght as I fought some nice walleye time and again. Needless to say I ordered one for myself and am awaiting the opener. Excellent rod , would recommend one to anyone as its a real bargain for the quality your getting."
