Husband is thrilled with new slippers,

"I purchased a similar pair of slippers many moons ago, for my husband. He wore it to death, including putting duck tape around the toe to keep it from totally falling apart. So imagine my surprise when I found them at Cabelas. He is constantly reminding me how comfortable they are, (I think he was afraid to give up the old pair, to break in a new pair). The leather is of good quality, fit was the exact size for him, and the slipper looks really well made. If it lasts as long as his last pair did, we will definitely get our money's worth."

Double soled mocs,

"The only problem that I had with these slippers was the tassels.
I wanted to tighten up the length a little bit, unfortunately the tassel broke with very little pressure. The leather cord was too light weight and I believe it was glued in. Otherwise I am happy with this item. I had hoped to replace a 10 yr old pair of unlined double soled moosehide mocs which are no longer offered. This item is superior to that offered by Cabelas major competitor in that adequate sizing (width, and half sizes) was offered."

Good but the size is *WAY OFF*,

"These appear to be OK. I normally wear 10.5; with these
even 12 is way too small. I can't figure how they are sized..
I ordered 11; too small, I returned them, got 12's. still
way too small. I gave them to my son."

"I bought these slippers for my husband and the driving moccosins for two of my son's. They have all raved about the comfort and fit. After two years of wearing them in and out of the house, the bottom got a hole in one of my husband's slippers and now I ordered the driving moccosins for him. He is impressed by the comfort and fit and we will see how long these can endure his wear.My son's driving moccosins have each held up well for a year."

"This is exactly what I was looking for. I wear socks with my slippers and these are like shoes but supper comportable with great padding on the bottom. The only problem was the tassels broke off. It looks like they were just stapled on."

"Paid attention to earlier reviews and ordered same as my boot size and that's one or, sometimes, one half a size larger than my shoe size (shoe size depends on last). Mocs still fit snugly so I double checked them and found a Cabela's sole insert that I slipped out and tossed. They fit comfortably and are a delight to wear around the house and outside for newspaper and to put trash on the curb."

"I ordered these a whole size larger than my normal street shoe size. They were still way to small. If I were to order them again, I would order them two sizes larger than normal. The slippers are very hard (think saddle leather) and there is a insole (some may like this, I did not). Though these were not what I expected they may be just the ticket for some. Just keep in mind they are more like a shoe than slipper."

Big Disappointment - unwearable,

"I recently gave a 5 star review on Cabela's Deepwater
1-Eye Slip-Ons Item:IJ-822286, and based on that great
experience of superior fit and comfort I ordered these
slippers.
Compared to that experience I have to rate these as one
star, mainly because I can't give them a zero.
First, I selected these because they are advertised as
unlined bison leather. (Unlined is what I wanted because
it absorbs moisture and conforms to your foot.)
Unfortunately these slippers were fully lined with some
sort of soft synthetic vinyl like material - exactly what
I didn't want.
Still I might have kept them except that they are
extremely tight fitting. My toes would have to be as
skinny as my fingers for these to fit, even after
removing the foam inserts. There's very little clearance
between the sole and top of the shoe - and I ordered
the largest size they came in, 14EE.
Thank goodness for Cabelas return policy, but I am
very disappointed with the inconvenience, and especially
the fact that they were different than advertised and
so tightly sized."

"I've been wearing these mocassins daily for the last two or three weeks and love them. They seem to be very high quaility and are quite comfortable. I couldn't decide between the bison or elk slippers so I ordered both. FYI, in like sizes the bison mocs are a little more snug, which I liked as they've developed a nice form fit to my foot. I imagine it will be a long time coming, but when it comes time for a replacement pair I'm getting another pair of these."

Great Slipper & Long Lasting Too.,

"Bought these for Christmas for myself in 2006 and as of 3/08 they are still wearing great. Have had the buckskin type previously and they usually wear out after 1 year of solid day in and day out usage. The bison leather lasts a lot longer and the darker color leather hides discoloration from spills or dirt a lot better. I Highly Recommend purchasing these over the buckskin model or even the elk ones (which fall in between the other 2) as you get your extra money's worth and a lot more! Fit is great. The liner is very comfortable!! Best slippers I have ever had and I will buy these again - as soon as my old ones die!"
