"Purchased fly to catch Northern Pike; I required a fast retrieve to spark predator response and surface poppers were not catching their attention. This Clouser Minnow did the trick. It held up well after several fish but eventually the threads gave out to sharp teeth and two 35 + inch fish.."

"Works well in the state of UT. Good all-around fresh water shiner pattern, and works well off the CA coast for any Pacific salt water game fish. I'll be experimenting with this pattern for northern pike in Alberta this summer (2009)."

"Versatile certainly describes the Clouser Deep Minnow.
The dictionary defines versatile as (1) with many uses, (2) moving easily between tasks, (3) changeable, i.e. subject to rapid or unpredicable change, and (4) free moving.
The Clouser is effective in all types of fresh water lakes, rivers, streams and saltwater.
The Clouser comes in many sizes and colors suitable for jigging brush piles and stumps for crappie and bass, to casting rushing trout steams or saltwater flats and mangroves for snook, barracuda, and tarpon.
The Clouser Deep Minnow is my favorite streamer for fly and light tackle spinning."
