The large Fly Box System has an 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" x 5" main compartment that will hold up to five large-size fly boxes with two side pockets that will each hold two medium-size fly boxes or other essential gear. Comes with four large fly boxes.
The small Fly Box System has a 4-1/2" x 5-5/8" x 6-1/4" main compartment and is designed to hold five medium-sized boxes in the main compartment while the two side pockets will each hold two medium-sized boxes. Comes with four medium fly boxes.
These boxes are sold individually either as a replacement or for use by themselves. They are hard plastic on the outside with ripple foam on one side and flat on the other.

"I bought the small box system with the thought that the side pockets held two medium fly boxes as per catalog descripion. When I got it I found that the side pockets held just one medium fly box each. Small disapointment. The front zippered compartment holds one also. The overall quality is excelent, the zippers are heavy duty. I'm keeping it ! (I'll probably order the large one too.)"

"This fly box soft case is very handy for holding all your fly boxes,it has a main zipper in the center for holding at least 5 to 6 fly boxes, the zipper goes across the top and down the sides , and completely opens up for a very easy removal of your fly boxes, it also has another front zippered front pocket which will hold a single large fly box, it has two side pockets that are velcro and will hold 2 small boxes, the whole soft case is very well made and very compact, this system works great, thanks Cabelas for a well made product."

"I've been using the standard medium fly boxes because they fit well in a vest or large shirt pocket, but over the last couple of years they have become more and more over crowded, and I continue to explore and tie new patterns. This system allowed me to ease over crowding in my existing boxes by suppling me with 4 more boxes of the same size and a comfortable and organized way to get all the fly I need to the water. With the three medium boxes and the four that came with the bag I now have a medium box for caddis, mayflys, nymphs, terrestrials, streamers, midges, and my guide flies. I also carry a smaller box in the front pocket that I use as a working box. One that I can load from all the other boxes to use on the river or to lone to a friend. There is nothing better than getting to river and having what you need easily at hand. As a guide it is essential."
