"We just got back from a northern Ontario fishing trip and these jigs performed admirably, catching dozens of walleye and the odd pike. The hooks seem to be of good quality and I like the choice of colours as well, but be sure to bring something to clean the paint off the hook eye. I'll definitely buy more when I need them."

"These are nice jigs with a great mold and no imperfections. The paint on them could be better. busting the paint off of the jig eyes results in the entire paint cracking and eventially falling off! might as well save some money and buy the unpainted version, or fork up the extra dough and buy Northland jigs if you like painted jigs."

"I buy a couple hundred of these jigs each year, primarily for walleye fishing in Ontario. I especially appreciate their durability and hook strength. The red hook models seem a bit stronger than the bronze. I haven't experienced the paint chipping some others have mentioned in their reviews, even while fishing in the Canadian shield."

"Very good for ice fishing. Get a light jig, tip it with a bit of mealworm, and jig it a little bit. A very light rod helps a lot in seeing bites, but it's not a must. I caught over a hundred trout with this rig."

"I fish these jigs for everything from crappie to trout, steelhead to walleye. They have fairly decent paint but like most other jigs after use they chip. They are a fairly light wire hook so alot of times when you do snag up you are able to get the jig back and rebend the hook. All in all a quality jig for the money."
