"this piece of equipment worked as well as any chamber packer i have used in many years in the sport fishing industry.

the settings are very versitile and it is very adaptable to other quality bags , though the original cabela's bags are great.I would definatley recommend this product to any serious sportsman aiming to treat there harvest with the care it deserves."

"THIS IS A GOOD UNIT. THE DOWNFALL IS IT DOES NOT HAVE A ROLL HOLDER OR BAG CUTTER TO USE WHEN MAKING BAGS FROM BULK ROLLS. THIS SLOWS DOWN YOUR OPERATION AS IT TAKES EXTRA TIME MAKING BAGS. IT IS BETTER TO MAKE YOUR NEEDED BAGS IN ADVANCE BUT STILL TAKES MORE TOTAL TIME.
THE INSTRUCTIONS ALSO DO NOT CONTAIN CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING MANUAL SEALS ON BAGS."

"great unit so far. It has a big solid feel and funtionality to it. Way nicer than the junk foodsaver and junk replacement foodsaver I recently owned. I haven't put it through It's complete fall workout yet, but I am expecting better results than the foodsaver from my experience with it so far."

"I have been using vacuum sealers for many many years and burned out several entry level sealers before buying a commercial type heavy duty sealer about ten years ago. It is now in need of servicing which gave me my justification to purchase the CG-15 I have been wanting from Cabelas for some three years now. To date, I have run about 50 lbs of salmon through it plus normal every day projects.
I love this machine and can't think of one single fault. Some time ago I bought up some unservicable bags that wouldn't work in any sealer including my commercial sealer but the CG-15 evacuates and seals those bags like new. I especially like the wide sealing bar. The see-thru lid is a plesant plus I have never enjoyed in the past. I can't speak more highly of my new sealer and would recommend it, especially to those new to vacuum sealing."

"I've only used it a few times, but it worked fine. I especially like the wide seal strip, which is better than the others I have had. It is a little large and heavy, causing a bit of a storage problem."

"The heat seal went out on my 2 year old FoodSaver and could not be repaired so I bought the CG-15. seems like a much better unit. I miss the convenience of the bag-cutter on the FS Turbo but the CG-15 will likely last much longer. It is a pretty serious vac sealer for heavy home use. I butcher 4 or more deer per year plus have a big garden and greenhouse produce."

would appear that they both did about the same job. I
would like to hold off judgement untill a later date, as I

"I bought this on sale a few weeks ago and have been using it to store dehydrated fruits and veggies from the garden as well as bulk meat that I have cut into smaller pieces. It took me a few tries to get the hang of creating my own bags from the roll but I now a an old pro. I bring my deer to a processor so I won't be able to test it on game but I know that it would do a great job. Expensive but you get what you pay for."

"We have used this machine for 2 years now. It works like a power horse! Great seals. We primarily use it when we catch fresh fish and then seal them right away. Occasianally there may be a bit of moisture in the bag, but if you wipe it with a paper towel, you get a flawless seal everytime. Is a bit large, but worth it. I have had several food savers and they just never last long - So is ONE good machine that lasts for years NOT worth it? I think so."

"A true work of art! This is well designed and works effortlessly. More expensive than FoodSaver but is built to last! Packed a moose with no difficulty and was easy to use. I use it everytime I buy bulk and save on the cost alone by never throwing away foods due to freezer burn or spoilage. Bags are tough and well constructed. This will save you money and pay for itself. Very easy to use."

"This is great. I would go through another brand about 1 a year. I do think this will last much longer. I would like to see a longer warrantie on it though. The great feature is that you can see if you have the bag in far enough."
