"I only used it for about a month befor I realized that the light/fan didn't like me at ALL. I HIT ME IN THE HEAD OVER AND OVER EVERY TIME THE WIND BLEW IT JUST A LITTLE. So I think that the hook that holds it up could be a little bit bigger or stronger. Allso the light isn't very bright even with good batteries. Other than that it is a over all very GOOD light/fan. the fan is a charm. Or I like it IS on hot days. I think that if you want a good light/fan it is a good chooce. ( especialy for kids, camping, and other recreational activities, hunting too.) The base could use a little work but it is ok."

"This fan light combo is cool. It worked good in my timberline 2 man tent, but it may not be good for any tent larger than that. The batteries lasted all night too."

Good Fan for Camping,

"There are limited options in finding a portable fan made for camping. This has the ability to hang from the ceiling or place on a table. The base is weighted so it will stay put. The output is what you should expect in a small battery powered fan. It circulates the air, but don't expect it to really cool. It's good for making things a little more bearable. The Fan will run for about 8 hours before the batteries die. Bring extra batteries!. This fan has been around for a while. It would be nice to see an increase in cooling ability and power management using newer technology but for now this is the only thing out there at the moment. It's priced right for what it does."

"This product could have been better. I had two of them in my tent on a hot June month while camping. Couldn't even feel a breeze. Not enough power for even a warm night."

"Very good product, I was doughtfull something so small would work as well as it did. It moves the heat back in the tent I own a Cabela's 12 x 17 x 5 wall tent from Montana canvas and it pushes the heat way back. The little LED light comes in handy when you miss place your flashlight, did that too."

Fan light combo,

"This worked well in conjuction with my Big Buddy heater. I hang the fan in the center of my 6 man Timberline tent and have the heater on low or medium and my son and I stay warm all nite, even in Montana. I do wish the 2 blade fan was a 3 or 4 blade to move more air but works well in the tents we use 6 and 4 man Timberlines."

"I purchased two of these fans/light combos a year ago.....one for me and one for my brother-in-law. We both have good sized tents....and in the summer they can get quite hot if you camp with your rainfly on all the time....(like most people). I was a little sceptical at first on running these fans on two "D cell" batteries.....but I was really surprised on the incredible endurance of this product....I used it on the same set of batteries for three different camp trips!
The light is bright, but not annoying.....and is plenty bright enough to help you see what you need to do...and at the same time not wake up any kids that are sleeping.
The product is not very big...which to me atleast, is easy to pack and compact. The fan achieves its purpose without running on a gas powerered generator! *LOL*. It helps circulate air to control the typical stuffiness that occurs in most tents during hot days.......If you need the fan closer to cool down.....un-hinge it from the roof of your tent and adjust the base and set it beside you for close relief. If you are looking for full out "tent air-conditioning".....don't buy this product......But if you understand its purpose....and have a mid/large to small tent....I'm sure you will find this product as useful as I have."

"Texsport Deluxe Fan/Light Combo. after installing batteries worked fine, fan a little weak. Put it back in the box and stored until needed. Went to use the other day and found that the was in two pieces, broke at the fan housing and body. I will be sending it back!"

"My family and I went camping in a week of 90 degree weather. We had two of these fans and they kept the tent comfortable. They circulated the air around and did not allow to sit stale and get hot in tent. Also kept tent nice and cool at night. The lights provided enough light and was not overly bright. Great product."

"We we very disappointed with the fan light combo. I bought it for my wife who has asthma, I thought it would help on a camping trip. Well it didn't, it was much smaller than I had expected, and it didn't move near enough air to help her sleep."

It's Not Blowing in the Wind,

"I bought these fans to use in the car. When I take my dogs with me I park in the shade and leave windows open. I had hoped the fans would help with air circulation. I have found them to be totally ineffective. Even on the fast speed there is very little air movement. I thought because of the cost of the fan I would be buying a fairly decent and effective product. I would definitely not recommend this fan to anyone for any purpose and will be returning the four I have purchased. Even one star is too much of an overall rating for this product."

"This was the perfect fan and light that my 10 yr old son used for his summer camp in the West Point Military Academy barricks. It is compact and he was able to change the batteries with no problem. It made his stay in the hot humid nights more bareable. Thank you."

"This isn't a bad purchase for the price. It also doubles for a desk fan if you need it. The fan works great hanging from the tent or just holding it right in front of your face is great too! I usually just lay beside me in the tent so I can get some air and a light if I need it. The only downfall is the D batteries. Kind of pricey if you use it a lot. But a great product."

"THE UNIT IS ADVERTISED TO RUN OFF OF 2 D BATTERIES, IT DOES ALSO REQUIRE ANOTHER BATTERY, A VERY LARGE WATCH TYPE BATTERY FOR THE LED LIGHT, IT WAS INCLUDED BUT HOW LONG IT LASTS AND HOW MUCH TO REPLACE IS A GOOD QUESTION, WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING AS I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING.
