"i love the rod so far but i have yet to go fishing with this rod but practice casting i love this rod it cast far with ease and very light to. very nice color to and i love the reel seat and line guides. cabelas even spooled the line for me no extra charge. very good price i whanted a sage or gloomis but i could not afford italso a great combo to.i would recomend this rod to a beginer or experienced fisherman. this rod is a great rod if your looking for a good main brand rod but cheap this rod is the one to get."

"I love this rod and it casts so well only problem is it is a very weak rod it snapped when pulling a four pound bass out of weeds. Cabelas sent me a brand new one right away. i have the 6 weight fly rod 4 piece. great rod just be careful when lifting or pulling"

"I bought this rod and reel combo to replace a starter 3 weight that I had for several years. The rod and reel have exceeded my expectations in every way so far. I find the combo very well balanced and the reel is well built. The rod has the 3 weight Rio WF on it and it loads line very well. The rod has a lot of action to it. I have had loads of fun nymphing in small creeks catching trout up to 16 inches and also fly fishing for bluegills. The river I fish in has a lot of confinded areas which make casting sometimes difficult. I have been pleasantly surprised by how much line this 7'6", 3 weight rod will pick up off of the water in a roll cast."

"Fished the Eastern Sierras with this combo, and was very pleased with the performance. The rod was amazing, you can really feel the load with it and it delivers just like I like. The reel is a good no nonsense reel. I am very pleased with the set up and for the price you cant beat it. The Sage case is very nice as well!"

"This was my first "premium" rod after 7 years of flyfishing.....even though its the lowest end Sage - it casts really nice.....i've only been chucking weight and nymphs so far (early season).....but when I cast just my line/leader - in anticipation of some dryflying....it is really a nice casting rod...i feel it load and can make graceful 40 feet casts."

"I recently purchased the 6wt Sage rod/Prestige reel combo for my son and me as we prepared for a trip to Rock Creek Montana. We used the equipment for 4 solid days of trout fishing on the Rock Creek River, Bitterroot and Clark Fork. The rod/reel was the perfect combination and very forgiving for the novice angler. My son was able to master certain casting techniques very quickly - our guide is considering changing his current inventory to the sage/prestige combo for future clients.
