"I bought these reels for my granddaughters because I thought they would be easy to use. What a joke. The reels would jam up and not easy for young people to use. The kids actually did better with their Snoop rod and reels. The rods that came with set were good but the reels were junk. I plan on sending back. The releases were not syncronized for easy use and you had to really play with them to let the line out. The return would jam up and not rewind.
Sorry Cabelas, but you should test these first before you sell them."

"In all the years that I've been fishing and buying rods and reels, this is the best that I have come across for the price. The combination is great, and the rod and reel were meant for each other. I most often buy the combo's because of the price, and end up mixing and matching to get the right feel and action, but this one is perfect. It is smooth and quite, and is just right for what I like. I plan on getting my grandsons the same combo just for that reason. Thank You, Cabelas and Zebco"

"I used this once and the neck that connects to the reel to the rod broke. I was not very happy. Cabellas is to far away from my house to just go and exchenge it so i threw the thing away."

"the 11t combo was great!
The action is perfect and the reel is great.
The reel has some issues though.
the reel needed to be greased and lubed up as soon as i got it, and the trigger isnt consistent, plus after a couple times out it would clog up with the standered 4 pound line.
i refilled it with some regular stren fishing line in 6 lb test and it worked great.
i would defiwntly recomend this to a freind but i would grease and lube the reel first."

"I was never big on spincast reels. I exclusively use a spinning reel. I had a friend that wanted to fish and had never used a spinning reel. So, I bought one each, of the 22 Gold combo and a 33 Gold combo. Both of us were very impressed with the 22 Gold. I'd rate the 33 Gold at about average, for the price. But the 22 Gold has preformmed quite well. I highly recommend this over the other inexpensive spincast reels. It's perfect for beginners and even skilled fisherman will be happy with the preformance. I'll probably buy several more of the 22 Gold for other novice fisherman to use. At the price, it's one of the best bargins I've had in a long time."

"You cant beat the price of this outfitt.But the gear ratio is to slow and super lines dont work very well I've cought florida strain,lg mouth northen strain bass with mono.well balance rod and reel combo.I know Iknow this is kidd outfitt,But their is a reasone why I bought this outfitt On the tourment trial this is a secert weapon.When the bass are turn off with lock jaw a finness presention is nessary this outfitt does the trick the reason why is the abilty to drop the bate softly and with percision.This why i gave it 5 stars!!!!!!!Their is a lot of misconception regarding spincast combos.This is a specialized tool for the trade.I'ts not meant for long hard all day fishing.I't like special forces BRAKE IT OUT AS LAST RESORT LIGHT, FAST, SPECIALIZED DUTY,STEALTH DEPLOYMENT."

"I fish ocean from a kayak and wanted to try a spincast reel that wouldn't get tangled in the kayak's gear. I remembered my old Zebco reel from childhood and decided to try these combos. I got the 11 and 22 combos. For such an inexpensive combo, I was pleasantly surprised. I've been catching 1-4 pound seabass on these light rigs and they worked dependably. (I went to the 22 combo quickly for the larger fish) Their drags are light, but otherwise I've been pulling in relatively big fish on these rigs without problems."

"Bought it for my wife because I thought it would be easier for her to use than my open-face spinning reels. I am very pleased with it she has gone fishing with me close to 15 times now and out fished me with it everytime. Judging by her reaction to using it over my gear I really think she enjoys it as well."
