Good, but heavy,August 11, 2008
By SacRiverAnglerfrom Northern California
"I bought this net with the extension handle for netting landlocked kings and rainbows on Shasta Lake. We use downriggers with extended booms, so we needed a long handle to net the fish beyond the downrigger cables. Often times we get multiple hookups, so we went with rubber instead of poly netting to free up the net more easily between catches. Good news is that we can get the treble hooks out of the net quickly and get on to netting the next fish. Bad news is that with the handle fully extended, the weight of the rubber netting makes the net a bit unwieldy. It's the tradeoff between rubber and poly netting. Overall, this is a good sturdy net and I'm willing to put up with the extra weight in exchange for the rubber net's ability to release hooks quickly."

Pro Series Landing Net,August 4, 2008
By WalleyFeverfrom North Carolina
"I was very pleased to see my new Pro Series Landing Net when I opened the box. I had another fine product manufactured by another main line competitor, but the difference was that the net had a rubber coating on the nylon net and we constantly got he hooks caught in the netting web. The walleyes were really biting "really" and I was still untangling the hooks while others were catching. I am sure that this Pro Series Landing Net will eliminate the major tangling issues and will keep me catching."

Steelhead/Salmon Hoop, Telescoping Handle,January 15, 2008
By pikerbasserfrom Wisconsin
"Last year I purchased the Cabela's Magnum Knotless Flatbottom net, coupled with the telescoping handle. The net preformed extremely well for bass, walleyes, and smaller jacks. I then purchased the Salmon/Steelhead hoop for landing my muskies. The hoop has a nice wide opening and at 40'', a good depth. The only thing i would change would maybe be another 6-8 inches deeper. Other than that it's superb. The Power Lock yokes (made by Frabill) are the best on the market today. The telescoping handle is a no-brainer choice for the multi-species angler. Buy the telescoping handle and maybe a couple two-three Cabela's nets, and you'll be set for a while."

Cabela's Pro Series Landing Net Hoops,June 19, 2007
By Harryfrom New Hampshire
"Nice and wide hoop for boating big fish. The rubber material is good for the fish you release as it does less harm to gills and fish slime than ordinary nets. Fish are released quicker into the water since flies and lures with treble hooks do not get caught up as they do in other nets. These days there is no reason everyone should not be using a rubber net - they are far superior. This net is a little heavy, hence only 4 stars, but otherwise it's great. Harry"

Great buy,April 24, 2007
By jaredoutdoorsfrom Vermillion, SD
"I purchases two of these nets, the Salmon-muskie net and the all purpose net for all my other species. So far we've netted two chinook over 10lbs. Worked Great, fast in water and hooks don't get tangled! The all purpose net has yet to be used but I noticed there is a lot of excess net on the all purpose, making it really deep, I'm modifying mine so it's not so deep. The the ability to switch landing nets on the same handle is really nice and less expensive than others. Paired with the telescoping handle you can't go wrong!"

Cabelas All Purpose Net with 36"-72" handle,December 14, 2006
By Ohiojmjfrom Fairlawn, Ohio
"Great quality product will last for decades. The 36" deep netting is somewhat too deep for me at times and the extending handle should be designed (with a non-round cross section) against rotation and resulting delay in engaging lock button at full extension. The coated netting is wonderful as hooks do not get snagged and fish are spared the hassle of untangling, amen. Structurally, the hoop and handle will never let me down. The handle conveniently collapses into the hoop region of the net for compact storage on my small boat. Great quality for the price in spite of the two minor issues. The all-purpose net will be my all around go-to net for pike, walleye and bass. I no longer have fear of "losing the big fish" from net failure!!!"

Landing Net,November 21, 2006
By Greg1349from Ft. Worth, Texas
"Very sturdy and light. Excellent handling and stowing characteristics. Great for use when trolling. Extension handle makes it easy to land the fish without to much effort. The net's material is great , no tangles or hook snags !!!"
