"the net is fine but am not happy ----i had to buy 2-yes, 2 --replacement nets!!!---could not buy 1. made no sense. the one i replaced lated 20 yeays. this one will last till i die!!! i don't know who in your outfit makes the rules on odering replacement nets but they should be fired. my sportsman friends will hear about this!! a good customer."

"I have found regular nets useless when using lures with a double set of treble hooks; the fish gets hopelessly snagged, and if you are hoping to catch and release, the time needed to get the fish back in the water can be fatal.
I put this net onto my collapsible Cabela net, and my problem was solved. No snagging at all.
The buyer should know that a rubber net like this is quite heavy when compared to nets of other materials. I don't find it a drawback when fishing from a tube, but someone standing all day might object.
If you are reluctant to use a net because of the inevitable snags, do try a replacement rubber net. This is very strong, high quality material."

"While closing out my old family home, I found the landing net that my father used when I was a youngster. It must have been made either during WWII or before and the net was rotten. I recently ordered a Cabela's replacement net for it. I use the net primarily to land smallmouth bass and am delighted with it. I will probably leave my good net at home from now on. If a person thoroughly studies the information supplied on Cabla's web site, there is no reason they should be discouraged with these nets."

"I bought this net thinking that it was just like any other net with a snag proof rubber coating. It was not. It was nothing like a net and it is completely rubber no nylon skeleton at all. I worry about it becoming brittle. It is also a very shallow depthed net and I wonder if fish will jump out of it. It states that it stretches but I would need a 10 lb. fish and there is not much give with a lot of pressure. I wish Cabela's would have had a better description and picture because I would not have purchased these 2 for me and my father. Not cheap either."
