"Before selecting the SportDog SD-400 Camo collar I researched numerous other brands on the market. The SD-400 had all the features I was looking for at a very reasonable price. The controls are very well placed and easy to use in the field at a moments notice. Because of this well thought-out layout there's no need to constantly verify your settings by look at a digital display, fiddle with knobs, or use two hands as you do with competitors systems. Having a hard-charging Choclate Lab, we're definately pleased with the endurance of both the collar in thick terain. I have absolutely no reservations about recommending this collar to other hunters."

"This e-collar is great. I have a 7 month old lab that I had been training since he was 8 wks. old. He was good on and off the leash(sit,say,come,heel,etc...). that was untill he hit about 6 months of age. thats when he started realizing that if he wasn't on the lease, he only had to listen when he felt like it.(selective hearing). Its amazing, dog get that too. I realy didn't want to go that root, but my blood pressure couldn't take it anymore. The first night I tried the e-collar I thought it mest my dog up. It made him confused, even on the leash he wouldn't do any commands. BUT!! the very next day I had a new dog. He figured out what was happening when he didn't listen and became an angel. This collar fix my dog over night. Now I take him everywhere with out being on a leash. this collar is magic. I love it."

"We have the alpha male of a litter and beginning at 8 weeks old we've consistently tried the techniques suggested by our vet to bring our dog into submission but could not break our dog of his dominance. The shock collar for the stubborn dog produced awesome results!! We followed the suggestions on the dvd that came with the collar and they proved to be very useful and contributed to the success of the collar. Our dog now knows and submits to his boundaries and no longer nips at us to show dominance. He has gone from a pest to a pet! I highly recommend this collar and the dvd it comes with."

"This collar has helped soo much in fine tuning the training of our 2 year old Choc. Lab. He was already pretty much trained for duck hunting we just needed a little extra help "reminding" him. The only downfall is that the remote itself doesn't have an off switch so while walking, or on boat or haveing waders on you can accidentally hit the buttons (just keep on #1) All in all very great product, and has definetly helped our stubborn dog, have many retrieves this year :)"

"I love this light weight controller and collar. It works out farther than 400 yds. The battery in the collar lasted at least 3 days (I charged it before it died). I think that with a couple more hunting trips, I'll have my lab conditioned to the tone only. That will be awsome."

"So far the e-collar has worked very well. We have used it mainly just around the yard over the last month, but have not had the chance to use it in the field. As long as the collar is on snug then it works great, but it has to be on good and snug to get the full effect. The manual provided was very clear, and the DVD was very informational. I would highly recommend this based on the time we have used it so far."

"We purchased this product for our 7 month old playful but stubborn beagle who loves to cross the highway and refuses to listen once she has her mind made up! We hated the idea of a "shock" collar at first, but all it took was one time, and she knows the consequences. All you have to do is put it on and she behaves, and if you want her to listen to you just "beep" her - and she listens. It is perfect for what we needed. It seems to hold charge well; however, we do not use it all the time and cut it off when not in use. This product is nice because now we don't have to worry with a leash."
