"The add a collar is better than the original in its design. Especially around the power button. My dog scratched off the button because it was only a rubber button. The power button is encased in a plastic border and not as easily to scratch of and break. If you can buy the extra collar."

"Works well for man-sized or small woman-sized hands. Quick-teaching for pups at minimal levels. Initially the second-dog collar we ordered would not retain the charge more than a few minutes. The company Fed Exed a replacment to us with minimal questions asked and effort on our part.
Only down side is the numbers came off after only a few uses, on the dial to set signal intensity. We use it with a 3-year old golden and 10-month old black lab and it has greatly made life more pleasant and safer for all of us, on a daily basis."

"The SportDOG 'add-a-dog' collar makes it very easy to run a second dog off of their transmitter. With the simple push of a toggle switch, I can go from Dog 1 to Dog 2. Since the charge holds longer than any other e-collar I have used, I can hunt a couple of dogs for two or three days without worrying about charging or changing batteries. The 'add-a-dog' is also completely compatible with the SportDOG charging units. Another nice feature is that the straps on the 'add-a-dog' collars can be swapped out, allowing a handler to designate a specific color to each dog in the field."

"This collar was a replacement for the original (yes, my dog ate it!). This system is very effective. I use it individually for two of my dogs, a German Shepherd and a Weimaraner. I am considering purchasing another collar to use the system's available two-dog function. The charger that comes with this add-a-dog collar has two terminals to charge two collars simultaneously. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because the new collar is much more difficult to turn on and off (the button is much harder to depress) than the previous one I owned."

"After 15 years of training my dogs for hunting I have tried a few different brands of collars. Though all have performed well, the functionality and expandability of the SportDog collar was impressive. I run two dogs and occasionally a collar will give out. Instead of replacing the entire system I can easily program a different collar to work my system. This has the ability of saving me a bit of money. The system is waterproof, both the collar and transmitter, which is important when duck hunting in wet weather. The tone feature works well for warnings and the ability to program the buttons is a plus for all types of hunters."
