Outcast Step-in Fins, July 18, 2009
By tiredofthecrowds from NW, Michigan

"These fins have worked out fine for me. Have read other reviews about the straps coming loose after awhile, but I have found that if you throw the fins into the water as soon as you get to your destination, and let them soak while you are putting on your waders and getting your gear ready, they don't seem to work loose enough to bother.
The added ankle straps are a nice feature also. No worries about losing a fin.
If you're looking for speed...these are not the ones, but they propel you just fine. Even in windy conditions.
I wear these over size 12 bootfoot waders and they are both comfortable and easy-off, easy-on. Seems to be plenty of room even for larger bootfoot wader sizes.

Flippers, July 7, 2009
By shorthair11 from Dumas,tx

"I have owned a 2 pair of these flippers. I have ran them a couple of years now. They do fit well over wadder boots.....The problem is they will not stay tight. The strap over the boot part comes loose during the motion of flipping and fishing......They are cheap, but do not serve the purpose of use. You are always having to stop and pull boot up and tighten the strap that goes across the boot."

Amazing, June 30, 2009
By jermy from Marion, NC

"I like the buckle system. Best I have seen.
As far as moving my pontoon, a lot of effort goes a long way.
I would like a kick fin that fits a sandal instead of one that fits big heavy wade boots. Maybe some day.

Outcast Fins, good, but . . ., November 3, 2008
By JFitz500

"The fins are a breeze to get into with boots on! However, getting them to stay tight on your foot is another issue. They loosen up fairly quickly and although one can not lose them, this is annoying! I was unable to tighten them satisfactorily while in my tube, which means you must get on land to tighten them."

good fins, July 7, 2008
By Jimsnarocks from Barstow, CA

"I bought me a pair of these a few years ago. I bought my grandson a kick boat and he needed fins so I got him these. They have been changed a little with the strap on the top and improved buckles. They work fine. I like them and so does he."

Outcast fins, June 23, 2008
By makk from MD

"The fins fit over my waders very well. Once snugged down I never felt that they would come off. Powering my pontoon boat is no problem(except I need to learn how to steer properly). Would reccomend."

fins, April 29, 2008
By theusual from Wellesley, Ma. flyfish 4 times weekly from Apr-Nov

"these fins are inferior to my older ones (same model) since they only have one strap which secures the boot to the fin. True, there is a second strap but this one goes around the ankle and is good leash but does not add stability to the fin.

the older model had two straps that secured the boot to the fin and is much more stable especially when finning fast.

Surprised by these fins, March 19, 2008
By drpeterson from Ogden, UT

"My brother and I each purchased a pair of these fins to float the Green River in Utah on our pontoon boats. We wanted fins that would be easy to put on and take off and allow us to wear our wading boots. Mission accomplished, and we were both pleasantly surprised as we put our oars away halfway throught the first float and ran the rest of the river using only the fins! These fins were strong enough allow us to stop our boats in the middle of several productive runs and make multiple casts to feeding fish. They never came loose and mine took several shots from underwater rocks. Great product."

step-in fins, January 7, 2008
By looserudder from avid flyfisherman, pacific northwest

"I wanted these for the ease of using wading boots instead of neoprene booties, and for that, they did OK. But these fins lack very much thrust and are unable to move a pontoon boat, really hard in the wind. Some what dissapointed overall."

not worth the hassle, December 10, 2007
By tubing

"these fins work great when they stay on your feet which is about 1 minute out of every 10. The strap comes lose way too easily. Sure you can try tighten them and tie the tag end to the other strap or come up with something else but I'd rather pay for something that works right the first time"

Great fins and worth the money, November 22, 2007
By Sleak from Redding, Ca (Fly Fishing Heaven)

"These fins have worked flawlessly for the last year. The guy who mentioned that they come loose is correct, but easy to prevent. I cinch them down the wrap the tag end of the strap around the tightened stap right beside the buckle. This does to things, it keeps them form coming loose and stores the extra strap length neatly out of the way. I use mine 10 hrs at a time during the summer and this little tip will work, I promise. Hope that will help. Scott"

Worst Fins EVER!, August 9, 2007
By BigBillIdaho from Driggs, ID

"I agree with the last guy who posted. These fins wiggle loose very easily. I have owned other float tube fins and have never had this problem. The single buckle system just does not work. If you buy these fins you will spend a lot of time re-tightening them out on the water, I guarantee it!"

outcast fins, June 22, 2007
By Tonyfisherman from san jose ca

"very nice strap design for boots they fit well and are strong a little heavy to carry but you cant feel that in the water i think they are the best i have bought yet... the creek co lightweight fins broke and the creek co float tube fins dont fit very well"

Outcast Step-in Fins, June 5, 2007
By Giang from Chino, California

"These are great fins for the price. They are a little rigid, but they aren't exactly diving fins either. The straps have plastic snap buckles, which like. They wont rust or poke holes in my soft wader boots. The ankle sraps are a good idea because these fins don't float."

Excellent fins for the money, April 17, 2007
By prc4 from Idaho

"These fins will move you through the water with relative ease. The built in fin saver is a big plus. Entry?exit is very smooth and they fit over wading shoes and wading sandals. Could not get them snug enough with just the wader booties or bare feet as advertised."

Finally...., January 21, 2007
By freefall319 from Lodi,CA

"If you have boot foot waders, these are the fins for you. I hunt ducks over a small lake without a dog. So i use my float tube to set decoys and retrieve my birds ( that are too far for my fishing pole) so on a good day i am in and out of the water quite a bit. So i need a fin that is easy to get on and gives me plenty of thrust for the windy days.

While these are a breeze to get on and off, even with cold fingers. They dont give as much thrust as conventional fins with stocking foot waders. But i will gladly trade a little thrust for warmer feet with my boot foot waders.

So if you have boot foot waders, these are the ones!
