"Works very well within its limitations. Very quiet, pistol sounds like pellet gun. Haven't tried rifle yet. Wish you could in 50 round boxes, tho - 500 a bit much."

Great ammo,

"Very quiet. I use this as a last round for my 10/22 and ar15 conversion kit. It is a great way to signal last round because the bolt does not lock back automatically. You will have to eject the round manually, but it saves the firing pin."

Great for Rabbits,

"Super Colibri is great for taking down Jack Rabbits in one shot without disturbing the neighbors. The round are totally quiet. All I hear is the hammer falling an the thud of impact. I have shoot about 30 rounds so far through my Marlin 39a and have not had any issues."

Super Colibri is Super,
June 22, 2009
By MikeinAlabama

""Not designed for rifles and only meant for 22 handguns", but that being said, these are little tack drivers out of my Mark II bolt action. I only expect about 25 yds or so before they start to drop, but at that range the squirrels and chipmunks are out of luck. And out of a long barrel they are near silent. More quiet than CB longs, but I go to the CBs for a "long shot". Have to load them one at a time in the Mark II, but a tube fed bolt action designed for short, long or long rifle feeds them well. But they shoot the best out of my mark II. Better get you some. The whack when they hit is louder than the shot. The pumping is over."

.22 Super Colibri,

By GaffedCat
from Chester Co., PA

"These Super Colibri are great for stealth plinking. Super quiet when shot through a Marlin bolt-action and have not had one stick in the barrel, yet, despite the manufacturer's warning. These make less noise than an air rifle. Accuracy appears consistant."

Super Colibri Rocks,
June 14, 2009
By Doc29
|
"Have been using these rounds for pigeon detail in the eaves of my 2 story house for the past few years. It is dead on for head shots at 20 ft, but will also pass through the torso of a pigeon if needed, and will dispatch rats at 15 ft with no problem. Functions without a hitch in my bolt action Marlin and my pump action guns that take S,L, and LR, but the chamber requires cleaning after about 200 rounds to function standard long rifle cased ammo reliably. These are also quiter than any pellet gun I've shot that can still take small game. In all a much better investment than an expensive pellet gun, as a standard .22 with multiple ammo options will out pace any pneumatic rifle when greater power and velocity are needed. Wonder if they'll make a .17 caliber version of this stuff?"

loud as a small firecracker, round does penetrate,
May 4, 2009
By ultramodal
from The Great Empire of Red States
|
"I shot a few rounds in my Taurus 94 revolver. It was louder than I expected (granted it was a revolver) but still quieter than regular 40 grain 22 lr rounds and 22 lr shotshells. The rounds will penetrate coffee cans at 25 yards, so they can be lethal. They are fun to shoot, but I wouldn't fire them from a rifle barrel since they may not have enough spunk to make it all the way through. Great for shooting mice and rats at close range - wish they'd come out with a hollow point version for close range varmit control."

"Quiet, excellant around the barnyard to dispatch unwanted pests, accuracy is good from my Henry if I keep my shots within the range of 25 to 35 yards. Fun to plink with. I will continue to keep a brick around to dispatch pests with without worrging about over penertration."

Quiet shots,

By Nutsforguns

|
"These rounds are great. They built a subdivision behind me and I couldn't shoot in my back yard. With the Colibri I shoot all day and nobody knows anything about it. Great for when the Grandkids come over. I use them in my Stevens Favorite .22 single shot rifle. Work just fine. I use them also in a Ruger semi auto but you have to hand cycle it. Still a lot of fun. They are quieter then BB Caps and CB Caps. A lot cheaper than the BB Caps."

Aguila specialty suppressed ammo,
April 21, 2009
By Halcyon
from Westchester, NY
|
"This is a great ammo for its specialty. That is, used in a bolt action .22 at distances of less than 50 feet. You simply cannot hear it. Sounds like a soft drink opening. Have tested it on beef bones, and it will shatter a beef femur. Will go through 2 license plates. Goes about 3/4 to an inch into railroad ties.
The main point of this ammo for me is that I do not need to wear ears with it and also, I can use it in a suburban setting. In other words, it saves me alot of gas and time. No need to drive to a range.
Highly recommended."

Agulia .22 LR Super Colibri,
April 20, 2009
By Fyrfinder
from Great Southwestern Desert
|
"Very interesting concept and I am looking forward to yard pest control more than ever. Only down side is that the overall length is shorter than the average LR cartridge and as such it is not practical in any weapon that would require a clip or magazine to function. In a revolver or a single shot pistol it is perfect."

Super Colibri,

By ducknit1

"These .22 rounds are great for target shooting (however they don't produce enough recoil to work a semi-auto action). They offer an extremely quiet round and maintain an acceptable level of accuracy. This is a great round to introduce young beginners into shooting."

SHHHHHH,
March 2, 2009
By chucknut

"These .22 rounds are more quiet than any pellet gun I have. My son is 12 and we target shoot in the back yard often. It gives him a sense of responsibility to be using A real .22 rifle but he doesn't have to know that it doesn't have the velocity of the pellet gun. So it's a win win product."
