secure, quiet, tricky to set up, easy to attach,

"once you get it set up right, this bow holder works quite well. the problem is that you can't apply hand-tighten the upper fork enough to prevent your bow from rotating it and tightening it further. this allows your bow to rotate out of ideal postion, which you had tried to set it in with the hand crank. i found that after i had hand-tightened as much as i could, when i put my bow in, it wanted to tighten another 90 degrees. so i loosened it, backed the fork up 90 degrees and tightened it by hand. then i placed the limbs of the bow in and turned the fork with my bow until it was tight enough to prevent spinning, which put it right where i wanted it. the bottom clamp works great, used it on gorilla, big game, and summit brand stands with perfect results. the rubber coating on the fork is very grippy, and holds bow very securely. to the point that it makes removing your bow a little tricky, but easy to manage with a little practice."

"The holder was ok. If you dont have the holder at the right angle the bow will fall out of stand . The nuts on the holder have to be real tight or they come lose and bow will fall"

"Love the product! It holds very solid to my treestands and allows me to attach it at multiple locations wherever convenient for that particular stand site and style of stand. QUICK TIP - HOLD PLASTIC T-HANDLE ON ONE SIDE WHILE TWISTING FORK ON OTHER SIDE TO TIGHTEN....real easy! I will buy more for Christmas gifts."

"I'm a picky person so take my review as you please.
Like the clamp part on the bottom, fits tight and feels secure.
I would improve the knob on the top little difficult to get tight so the bow does not slip.
I woud buy another one again but bring a good pair of pliers to tighten it down.

"I love my Iron Talon Bow Holder so much that I'm taking the time to write this review (which I normally don't do).
It fits on all my stands and holds my bow great. The clamp is made to fit through the grating on my Gorilla or Lone Wolf and API. I use it attached to the platform right in front of me between my legs or off to the side. When hunting out of my two man stands or Summit Climber, I use it mounted to the side of the guard rail.
I recommend it to all my friends!"

"The attachment to the stand is quick and secure . I would not adjust in the field, because you need a tool. Place holder on stand adjust your bow and tighten knob with a channel lock pliers . Cannot hand tighten knob tight enough to secure bow , so you will need to use a tool to tighten. Once tightened the bow holder is secure . The attachment to the stand is easy and can be done by hand .I would have given a 5 star if the knob did'nt need a tool to tighten enough to hold bow."

"I have used the Bow Talon with my BowTech Tribute bow with good success, after momentarily tinkering with it to see how it best fit my bow. It held the bow steady, in place and once I figured how to properly attach it for my bow (mostly was operator error because I did not do it before on the ground or a test run...I just tried it blind one morning in the dark) I was not concerned with it failing.
I would recommend this product to all bow hunters who want to minimize movement to get the bow into shooting position."

"I think the Iron Talon Bow Holder is the best treestand bow holder on the market. I just hold the plastic t-knob on one side and use the bow holding fork to tighten the assembly with my hand. I can get it just where I want it by putting my bow in the holding fork and using my bow as a big lever to push tight the holder until my bow is at just the right distance from me to reach yet allow me room to move around on the stand. I love it!"

"Good concept, poorly executed. Fits securely on treestand, but doesn't hold the bow securely. My bow is very light in weight. The lock washers that hold the bow limbs to the holder do not do the job at all."

"The Iron Talon Bow Holder is an excellent product. I believe it is truely the best on the market for holding bows on a tree stand! The versatility allows me to use it on all my stands (Lone Wolf, Summit, Gorrilla).
Mine and all my kids bows fit due to the rotating head attachment. Once I learned to use this to tighten and loosen instead of the plastic T-handle, it worked like a charm!!!
You can tell someone really thought about giving the customer the best value for their money, must have been another hunter!!!"

"I normally have good luck with my Cabelas purchases but this was the exception. Totally useless. Bought one and tried it in my treestand this fall. I have a Drenlin bow and it would not keep my bow in an upright position. It kept slipping and I was afraid my bow would fall out of the tree. I would have tightened it more but was afraid the plastic knob would break.I sent it back and got a refund but lost $7.00 on shipping charges. Not happy at all, don't waste your money."

"This holder will not tighten down to hold my bow on both my stand and the top part that the bow would sit in. It is usable as a rest, but you would need to continue to hold your bow. Not what I was expecting. I guess you get what you pay for."
