great buy,September 2, 2009
By columbiaboyfrom columbia, NJ
"I don't know what happened to the people in the reviews saying it was cheap. It sounds like they either put it together wrong or over weighted it. I weigh a little over 200 lbs and I have used it for 2 years and have not had a problem. You do have to replenish the air from time to time but show me an inflatable that you don't have to. A good deal for the money."

It works!,May 25, 2009
By Elkhuntingjohnfrom Idaho
"For this low of a price it is worth it. I just floated a class 2 yesterday and was pleasently suprised. Did'nt catch a fish but that was'nt the boats fault. Dont get me wrong though, you do get what you pay for, meaning, the metal peices don't fit together very easily, and the oars are fairly cheap. However, it will allow you to fish any trout water effectivley and if you dont want to pay $500+ then this boat will work. It is strong and stable and will either bounce off rocks or slide right over them."

pontoon nightmare,March 22, 2009
By tymaster1234from colorado
"bought this product for my dad for his birthday thinking it would be a great buy for the money. boy was i wrong. put it together and got it on the water, it was very unstable and felt like the floats were going to fall off. the aluminum on this craft is very weak as well both of the foot rests snaped off upon loading into the truck. unless you want to waste your money do not buy this boat."

Pretty decent,October 27, 2008
By druckensailorfrom Texas
"I purchased this rig as a scout boat and pond hopper. Not real easy to operate with a brisk wind. Kept pretty dry and had a couple of successful adventures so far. Ordered a second one for a friend. Pretty well satisfied but could definately use a rudder and a rod holder."

Caution! weak frame,September 5, 2007
By TfromCTfrom Ct.
"I bought two of these and they were great for a while. Then the frame snapped at the welds on one in the middle of the lake. Luckily my son was with me on the second one to get us back in. Could have been ugly! Use caution if you buy one."

Pontoon,August 7, 2007
By marpfrom Montana
"My review is not good. The pontoon was difficult to get full of air. The first time in the river, the frame kept slipping towards the front of the pontoon, making it difficult to not fall off. That was a short trip. The second time, the welds on the frame broke and it collapsed. We are in the process of packing it up to return. The frame isn't as sturdy as the same pontoon my son bought five years ago. The metal isn't as strong and I weigh well under 200 pounds. This is the first and only problem we have ever had with your products for years. The pontoon season is now over so I will wait until next year before I consider ordering another one."

get what you pay,July 26, 2007
By firstpontoonfrom Vancouver, WA
"Bought this model and it performed rather well. Hard to flyfish from due to low profile. The only real problem was the footrests, they are not very sturdy and your feet tend to slip off into the water. I would recommend saving up for a better model, not too bad for the first time."

Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!,July 7, 2007
By piefootfrom Anderson, CA
"My family purchased this pontoon boat for me as a Father's Day gift, with plans to take it on our annual July 4th camping/fishing trip. We assembled the boat with little effort. The left pontoon lost air due to a faulty air valve. The right pontoon lost air due to a slow leak in the seam. The welds holding the cross frame (2 bars) broke. I am 73 pounds under the 350 pound weight limit. Ruined the camping/fishing trip. I hope Cabela's discontinues this model as it reflects badly on their good name."

cheap,June 19, 2007
By badtripfrom Pa
"upon putting the pontoon together, after fighting with trying to fill them, and reading the foggy instructions, I got the pontoon in the water sat on it, rowed out about 15 feet from the shore and sank. The weld on the the outrigger gave loose and I went right in. The oars don't seem to have the proper length to be able to row comfortably, and that was after I had to fix the problem of not aligning properly with where they snap together. All in all I was pretty mad as I was on my yearly fishing trip in canada and was really looking forward to getting back into some of the coves where you really can't get into with a boat, I guess I should have stayed with the Kayak."

2 strikes,May 29, 2007
By wekklkfrom Pennsylvania
"The first time around, the pontoon kept deflating, so we took it back and got a new one. We just thought it was a defective pontoon. The second time around the pontoon stayed blown up but after using the boat for one day, it fell apart. It broke apart near the pontoon and where it is welded together. The person using the boat is well under the weight limit and was using it in a slow stream. Needless to say that one will go back also, and we will not be purchasing a boat of this type, made by the same company."

Pontoon's for old men,May 16, 2007
By RustyfromColoradofrom Florence, Colorado
"Now that I am pushing 60 and pulling 50, the float tubes of the last few years tended to wear me out. Especially when it was windy. The pontoon inflatable is easy to handle, does not wear out the old muscles so fast, and with the trolling motor I am going to mount on it, I will once again have the quiet solitude of float tubing, in luxury!!! All my buddies 55 and older are getting one. We may form our own navy :) ."

The best pontoon for your money !!!,May 14, 2007
By flyfishinazfrom Show Low, Arizona
"I took the morning off of work to take my new pontoon boat out for the first time. I was very impressed with the pontoon. It has so much storage, and it is very nice for fishing around the lake. I own a float tube as well, but you sure can move around the lake a ton faster in the pontoon boat. I caught 3 rainbows that morning, so I was happy with that !!! My only problem with this pontoon is that I had trouble getting the bladder to line up with the hole while blowing it up on the one side. I would highly recommend this pontoon to anybody who wants a good pontoon for a fair price !!! If Cabelas sells it, it is high quality !!!!!"

"This raft is excellent for fishing small ponds alone. It can be easily transported, unloaded and used for fishing. I have found fishing is more productive when a wider area can be covered and fishing is mpre productive than walking around the ponds. I have been very impressed with the product and its easy use."

pontoon,March 30, 2007
By fishysmellfrom Ft worth, Texas
"This is a good piece of equipment and i would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a small boat for whatever they need one for. However, i would also tell them to take mind to the wind because it will blow you all over the place and to get a keel for it to keep it tracking in the correct direction. Those are the two issues so far that i have ran across, these things are easy to use and accessorising it is a sinch, i have built rod holders for it, i have camo netting i use during duck hunting, and it will haul a ton of equipment. P.S. I would purchase fins, especially if you are going to be in tight spots."

5 Stars at 3 Star Price,December 26, 2006
By Fidmanfrom West Michigan
"I have floated trout streams in northern Michigan in my Cimmaron while a friend floated in his pontoon sold at twice the price of mine. On each trip he commented on the storage capacity of my Cimmaron, the ease of handling, and especially the light weight when we had to traverse any distance. By adding a rod holder and anchoring system my Cimmaron is capable of floating the widest trout stream as well as handle panfish and bass lakes. This is the best investment, outside of a pair neoprene waders, that I have made. Cimmaron is a steal at this price."
