"These are great gun boots. Still tough as nails like all Kolpin cases are, but now you can get easy access to you rifle rather then fighting with the butt end of the boot to get it off."

"Waited until I got to use this a few times before I rated it. The sleeve that goes inside could be a little thiker but not too bad. The hinged lid is excellent compared to earlier models. Have not used it in a down pour but stream and puddle/mud crossings have not let any water in on the gun. Some dust does get in around the closure area but not too bad. Over all, it gives excellent protection for my guns, Have used it with shotgun and scoped rifle, with attached bi-pod and there are no fitting issues. Cannot get my AR-15 to fit but it is the oddball anyway (scoped) might fit without a scope. I ride on very rough/rocky trails/roads and have not found any damage to my guns, or wear/breakage on the case."

"I really like the easy access that the kolpin 6 gun boot gives you. A couple of things I needed to fab up was the inner case slides out unless you use the velcro adhesive that comes with the case but this did not work for to long so I just layed some strong 3M double sided velco to replace the original velcro, Also the soft case inside uses velcro to shut the end, This makes for a non-steath take out, I simply cut the stitching and removed the velcro"

"I have not had the chance to use it yet or install it on my atv. I like the way it is made and i had inserted my 7mm rem. mag rifle with my 4.5 x 14 x 50mm leupold scope and it fitted perfect and also my knight 50. cal. I am looking forward to using it this season."

"Excellent product - long guns are well protected from rain, mud, vibration, etc. in this hardcase with removable gun sleeve. It's an 8-mile roundtrip on the ATV, over hill and dale with three creek crossings, to get to my favorite area. Both my blackpowder and centerfire rifles have arrived safe and sound and still centered on target - thanks to the Gun Boot 6.0. The 2.0" extension unit may be needed on some ATV's - as was the case on my 04' Eiger. Two 8-points later and I couldn't be happier!"

"I’ve had a Kolpin gun boot IV for a number of years. I needed a second gun boot for a different 4-wheeler and thought I’d try the new v. 6. Observations: The v 6 is larger than my Kolpin IV. I think I will like the way it opens but to be honest, I’m not sure it’s worth the extra $$. That is to say that both the IV and 6 are outstanding products."

"The other Kolpin Boots I have tried have been excellent in terms of protection and durability but have been hard to open the back to get your gun out when your in a hurry. These ones are much better in that regard. the hatch back design gives much quicker access to the firearm. I use these on the back of a UTV and have lots of room to open the "hatch", someone without enough vertical room may prefer the old design."
