Great Product,

"I have used two of these items and both of them worked great. I put them through a rigorous hunt on my ATV in the high country in Colorado. I have used one of them for two years now with no problems at all. Although a little pricey they are worth owning one for travels on your all terrain vehicles."

Good Mount 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI,

"Using this with the 6.0 case.
Install took some time, had to drill some holes (polaris plastic rack) Everything needed comes with the mount and works very well. After mounting I noticed some wobble, it was not from the mount it was the plastic rack. I took the rack off and mounted a 1/2" x 24" peice of angle iron to the bottom of the rack and now the mount is pretty solid. There is a little side to side wobble due to the way that the mount slides into the quick connect bracket, but again nothing too bad. I ride on very rough/rocky roads and nothing has worked loose or broken. There does not seem to be enough movment to damage any gun inside the case. The ability to move this mount to different angles is nice and allows you to adjust the gun position depending on what you are hauling on the quad on any given trip."

"I like this type of holder the best because it can be mounted on the front or rear of my ATV and you can adjust the angle that you want the rifle to be carried at, plus you can easily remove the hard case and take you rifle inside while it's still in the case. I works well with gunboot IV and gunboot 6."

"I've had good performance from the first Bootector I bought and still in regular use over two years,with the exception that after a very short time in use the boot sleeve rattles around a bit in the mount when the rifle packed gun boot is installed.Not a serious fault but more an anoyance.I've purchased a second to be installed on my wife's quad -- would I recommend this product -- yes.It's a quality built,extremely robust product worth considering."

"We actually have two of these on our ATV. We like that you can slide your gun boot in and out very easily. Don't know much about the durability since we just bought it, but so far so good."

"The Boottector Bracket is good, but not as solid as it should be. I broke one of the bolts when tightening it and I wasnt wrenching on it hard at all. When you drive on rough terrain, it bounces around alot."

"You need this bracket for the Koplin TranSport. Bolts on my Honda Rincon rack and is very sturdy and easy to install. I like the way it keeps the gun boot out of the way. I have knocked it on trees several times while riding and it stays in place and no damage to bracket, boot or gun."

"After reading the possitive reviews on this product, I purchased one for my recent elk hunt in northern Arizona. While riding my ATV over moderately rough terrain, at relatively low speeds, the main tightening bracket would constantly come loose causing excessive wobble of the gunboot. I tried tightening this knob down to the point of allmost stripping the threading and it still came loose. The bracket came loose so often that I had to use my backup rifle due to fear that the constant wobble and vibration had thrown my primary rifle's scope out of alignment. I have purchased numerous Koplin products in the past and have never been dissatisfied until now. This bracket may be acceptable for unscoped rifles, or driving on graded roads, but until the tightening knob is designed to be more secure, I would not recommend it's use."

"The Kolpin Boottector Bracket works AWESOME! I used it on the IV transport case and it worked solid. I just went on a 10 day hunt with other quad users and they didn't have this setup. Boy did mine make a difference. With all the rock climbing, rain and snow each day. This product never came loose or failed. I highly recommend this bracket!"

"This is a replacement for another "universal" gun boot bracket. It is a fairly easy install, but I wish the kit came with round washers for the u-bolts instead of the flat ones supplied.
I took my 4-wheeler through the paces yesterday in Alaska with a rifle in my gun boot and in this bracket to see if it was more stable that the other one I had. This one is rock-solid, and is worth the purchase price. It keeps the gun boot firmly secured in place and allows the brush to deflect off it as it should. It is easy to change angles, and no tools are needed to do so. I recommend it, but make sure your gun boot is compatable, or it will not fit."

"The best feature of this bracket is it's strength. I actually hit a tree with my gunboot while riding and no part of the bracket was damaged, in fact, it bent my rear rack on the 4-wheeler instead. It's got a strong metal plate to mount it and it was fairly easy to position and mount. I would prefer it if the bracket was a bit smaller. It seems quite large when you are not carrying a gun boot. You can unscrew the knob that holds it on and remove a codder pin so that you can remove the large part of the bracket that holds the gun boot. I discovered this by taking it apart. Overall it seems pretty good and quite strong. I give it 3 stars."

"I work, (Installed on 02 Honda rancher) the clocking on it makes it harder to install on ATV. The bracket had to be located as far fwd on the rack a possible so when the gun boot was installed it could be clocked so it would not interfere with getting on and off the ATV. The bracket should be a little longer to make it easier to install. On the plus side it is vary tough unit I rolled the ATV and it held up."
