"Bought Zeiss pocket binos and after 3 weeks the adjustment didn't work.Sent them back to the factory and did get them back just half way repaired with a note that if that would happen again to fix it myself (with a short note how to do it.)Traded them in for a 10-40 model and other problem started with constant foging. Also wote to the factory about lens covers and none are available.So much for a high priced binoculars.Personally would never buy a Zeiss again."

"I work part time in a very high dollar gun store. For years now I have been using cheap binos... five years ago, I puchased a pair of Leupold 10x40 binos, and thought they were great. After trying out a pair of Zeiss, I wanted to throw the Leupolds away. They are lighter, clearer, and much more adjustable. Believe me, there is a big difference in cheap binos and good binos Zeiss is the best I've ever used. THANKS"

"The optic quality of these binoculars is outstanding. The major problem is the lack of objective lens covers and poorly fitting rain guards. I contacted Zeiss and it's not even possible to purchase objective lens covers. I returned them because it's not practical to use them in the field without something to protect the lens. Amazing such fine binoculars should miss such an important detail."

"Several things that I looked for when buying this pair of bino's. First was power, second was weight and last was price. At first I was taken back by the price but now I feel that the price is just right, I've spent lots dollars on many cheaper bino's but given the power, the big savings is in the weight. I spend a lot of time when I hunt in spot and stalk, primary choice is the bow so weight has always been a issue with me. These bino's weight half the weight of most 16x50's even though the ones I purchased are 15x45 I don't notice any difference. The quaility is superb, I can't notice any distortion in the lens cut at all. I also like the diopter adjustment that adjusts for both eys and is seperate from the focus knob. I am well pleased with my purchase."

"I bought the zeiss 15x45 and 2 scopes 4.5x14x44 They both dont seal well. I brought them to Canada for a hunt. All they did was fog up. I saw fluid escaping out of the Binos and one scope. Keep in mind, I did carry on the binoculars and The rifle and scope were in a bullet proof case bought from cabelas. I tried mounting the second scope on a lever action 308. There is not enough range in the elevation to bring it to zero. I did not have a problem on the bolt action and was dialed in within 5 shots. All in all. great visibilty with the optics when they didnt fog up. I will not buy another zeiss product"

"I recently purchased a set of Zeiss Conquest 8x30BT binoculars. I have owned several pair of bino's and these by far are the best I have ever owned and will last me a lifetime. Focus is something that you are always have to adjust and in a split second they come into focus. The helical adjusting eyecups allow for glass wearers and non-glass wearers alike. I was able to pick up elk at very long distance in very low light conditions. The small diameter eyecups fit nicely into your eye socket and do not allow stray light in. I was seeing spotting mule deer, elk and other various animals that no one else was able to pick up. They are very light weight and I could wear them all day long and forgot I had them on me. I used them in the foggy/rainy coast of Washington State to the wide open breaks off the Salmon river in Idaho. For the price you can't beat these bino's. You won't regret purchasing a pair of these."

"I recently purchased a pair of Zeiss Conquest binoculars. For years I have used a cheap pair of binoculars and didn't know what I was missing. I had quality rifles, scopes, and other equipment, but would not spend the extra for quality binoculars. Many times at the sporting good stores I looked through various binoculars of different price ranges and could not convince myself to pay the difference in price. Finally, I purchased and used these binoculars in the field and could not believe the difference in detail and clarity. I know everyone has herd it from the TV experts, but take it from a hunter not a writer the quality is worth the price."

"i purchased the 8x30 binoculars from zeiss because fo the light weight and clear view. the size is perfect on my bino straps and the clarity and low light visibility is great for the compact size. in my opinion zeiss has the best quality and especially for the price range in this size."
