"Perfect for viewing just about anything I can't make out with my naked eye. Just the right magnification and excellent, flat image. Superb portability. I carry mine everywhere I go in a small, soft bag in my pants pocket. Probably a little expensive for a monocular, but I've tried many, and all others were too heavy to carry around comfortably, and of poorer optical quality. Carl Zeiss optics have always been exceptional, whether as a microscope, camera, or now a monocular."

"I returned the monocular due to the fact is was way over priced for what you get. It was a lot smaller then expected, so small that you could barely see through it. As far as the quality I have had ordinary pens that I believe would last longer with daily use, it appeared to be a very low quality plastic."

"The Zeiss MiniQuick 5X10 monocular is so light and compact, you'll probably forget you're carrying it...until you spot something of interest and want to enhance your vision a bit.
That goes for distant objects as well as close-up views; reverse the monocular and it becomes a very handy "magnifying glass".
Images are detailed, crisp, amazingly clear, and flat across the entire field of view, but then, this is a Zeiss instrument and that is expected.
Use of the focusing collar is easy and intuitive; it functions smoothly and stays put when you stop twisting it; lesser instruments suffer from 'creep' which is totally lacking in the MiniQuick.
I expect to be using this little beauty for many years to come...yes, it's *that* good!"

"Good monocular. The view is very impressive for such a small package. Magnification is low, but that is necessary to get the flat field of view to the edges with reasonable field of view.
It is very convenient to carry in a shirt pocket. I am still looking for something I can use to protect the monocular while in my pack. I would have been happier with a little larger diameter monocular with a little more magnification."

"I bought this monocular because it was the only one offered by Cabelas and also on Zeiss's reputation. I have no real complaints other than it being made of plastic and feels cheap, however it works just fine and gives you a clear view."

"Very nice. I use the monocular to view wildlife in the field and birds in my yard. The optics are quite good for such a small device, plus it is just very handy as opposed to binoculars. For quick viewing and identification it is perfect. I am quite satisfied. Thank you."

"Overall I enjoy this little gadget; it's nice to have something that can give you 5x power and is the size of a pen. Use it golfing, fishing...or just out on a drive. Clarity is excellent, innovation is top notch. Only wish it had more power, but that would probably defeat the purpose of a pen-sized monocular."

"A nice monocular. Very light and with a decent pocket clip. It doesn't come with any lens covers and they get dirty quickly. The instructions are not worth a dang. Performance wise, they deliver a pretty sharp, bright image during the day. The naked eye sometimes seems more discernable for me at night. The image also seems a bit claustrophobic and tunnel visioned. But this is offset by the ease in carrying it. I put it into a mini maglight nylon case and it fits fairly well. This allows me to put it into my pants pocket with greater confidence. Focusing is a bit fine and hard to do at some distances. All in all a nice, handy item to offset aging eyeballs. I plan to give one to a good friend for Christmas."
