"Very disappointed in the case of this kit. Tray for components is cheap plastic. Foam liner failed to secure components in tray. Might as well have tossed them in a drawstring bag. I bought cheap. I got cheap. I HOPE that someone can reference a quality case that will secure all components for a CHANGE."

"I have used this kit to clean a few pistols and a couple of my rifles and I would say that the kit did the job alright. This kit seems a little "flimsy" to me, based on using some "older" gun cleaning kits that were made of sturdier materials and better workmanship (in my opinion).
The plastic tips included are very fragile and I'm sure I'll be breaking some of them eventually. The pistol/rifle cleaning rods are thin-walled, so be careful in using them...make sure to guide them into the muzzle end with your free hand so as not to bend them.
The cleaning patches included in the kit are a real joke...they are so thin and I don't believe that they are made of cotton as we are used to in our older cleaning kits. The cleaning patches absolutely "disintegrated" when I dipped them into a bottle of Hoppes #9 Solvent and ran them through the barrel.
As I write this review I begin wondering why I haven't sent this back yet to Cabela's...I think I may do just that.
I've bought many items from Cabela's and I don't think that this one lives up to what I believe Cabela's stands for...and that's QUALITY PRODUCTS!!! I'd stay away from this one..."

"I bought this for my husband for Christmas and got it 3 days after I ordered it.He really liked the quality and conveinence of everything he needed in a small carry case.The only disappointment was the case had a 2 inch crack in it where it was damaged during shipment.This item was on clearance and we decided not to return it because of the cheaper price and the fact it had everything needed to clean any gun or rifle known to man.So other than the small crack in the case that we can live with he is very happy with the item.I have always had great luck with Cabelas and will continue ordering from them.The products have always been well priced and got delivered very quick!"

"i got his last yr and found it to be just want i wanted it worked great the brush for the 22 is a tight fit and i found pushing it in holding the rods as you push it works good the same with the brush for the 20 gage its tight again do not use the handle to push the brush ino te gun use the rods until it's 1/2 way then use the handle. all the fiting work in the guns just have to find the right one and yes brass is easy to break if you don't do it right.i just got a 12 gage and can't wait to clean it after i fire it a few time's. thank you employee if cabela's in hamberg for showing me this cleaning kit and saying it's be a better buy for all the guns i've got it does the job.i'd recommon this kit to all my friends.i'd also tell them that i it at cabela's"

"Needs space for oil and solvent in case. Also notice that patch tips could be easily broken if not careful and rods could be bent over due to small diameter. Used it initiall for a Marlin Model 1897 22 - worked great. Has all other calibers I need.
Just be careful when using and it looks like it will last me forever."

"Purchasing from Cabelas was my first purchase online without using Pay Pal - ( i don't trust giving my CC info out when purchasing items online hence i am a big fan of Pay Pal). I purchased a gun cleaning kit for my husband as a gift. When i received it in the mail the case was cracked; i called Customer Service and i have to say they were extremely nice and they sent us a new kit. I am very pleased with the product and my husband just loves it; I can't say how many times he has bragged about it to his friends. My husband (whose familiar with Cabelas) and i are definitely going to be purchasing more items from Cabelas. I am also very pleased to say i don't receive any junk emails from giving out my email address. I would definitely recommend Cabelas to my friends, associates and anyone who is looking for related items."

"This is exactly what I was looking for. I do not own any firearms but find the gun cleaning brushes excellent for cleaning out glue and gunk when making pens. The pen tubes are brass and are cleaned perfectly with these gun cleaning brushes."
