"Very BASIC DVD. Needs better instructions for making the various cuts of meat such as round & sirloin (top & bottom). A printed diagram/chart would have been a valuable reference if it had been included. It was difficult to tell exactly where the cuts were being made. The butcher in DVD was great however , the narrater with the match stick hanging out of his mouth & repeating everything the butcher had just stated was very annoying. Also, quite a bit of meat was thrown away as a result of sloppy trimming. This could be prevented by being more careful & taking a little more time with that process."

"I own several videos, books and articles regarding the field dressing and butchering of wild game and I would rate Field to the Freezer in the middle of my collection - it is not at the top of my list. It does have some good information but the camera work and overall information does not compare to my number 1 choice - Deer Processing 101 which is also carried by Cabela's. You will be able to follow and process your own animal using this video but Deer Processing 101 will show you how to gain more usable meat with much better camera shots. If you have the money and want to add to your collection, this video will give you a different view, but if you have limited funds and are looking for just one video to do the job - keep looking and try Deer Processing 101."

"I had no idea how much meat I was wasting until I bought this DVD. They walk you through each section of the deer, how and where to cut, techniques, tools to use, etc. If you hunt - or if you have buddies that hunt - get copies of this DVD and give them out! This is a great tool."
