a great pair of gloves,February 24, 2009
By greentksfrom Willits, CA
"These gloves are really a good deal. They are true to size, and fingers are not too short compared to the hand. The leather is very supple, yet really tough. I wear them for hard work, and they hold up well. I oiled them for some waterproofing in this winter weather, and they take mink oil real nice with good result. The leather is thin enough to work with a good feel for small parts, and still tough enough for ruff use. The lining is soft and comfortable without making the glove slide down my hand. I usually get thicker gloves so they hold up, and wish for a better dexterity than they can deliver. These gloves fit the bill of both needs. The only thing I didn't like was the length of the wrist cinch-its a bit long. I cut it shorter, and crimped a tab onto it, and now it is just right. Its a small enough point, that I can't deduct for it."

"everything good except leather strip attachment poorly (and cheaply) designed so that loop can pull out of the grommeted hole if strip is given a tug."

not as before,February 3, 2009
By Mymulliganfrom NH
"I bought these gloves, two pairs because the pair I bought two years ago were fabulous: soft ,strong and very flexible leather. New ones are NOT the same quality or construction. Much stiffer and less flexible, not the quality to not interfere with the feel of the reins etc."

Good gloves,February 3, 2009
By reddogsfrom Bakersfield, CA
"Very pliable and flexible. Meets the description in the catalog of maintaining tactile ability with warmth for mid-range temperatutes. Many leather gloves are way too stiff to be able to manipulate properly, these work very nicely in that regard."

Soft and durable but not overly warm,January 3, 2009
By MissouriFoxhunterfrom Missouri
"These gloves are really sturdy and stay nice, the finish holds up better than my calf skin gloves. They are also soft and flexible so you still have a lot of dexterity. They aren't the warmest however. I use them for horse riding and especially foxhunting. I have the heavier Gortex lined Cabelas for the really cold days but those don't allow me near as good a feel of the reins. So the bottom line is these are worth the price but are best in the 30-65 degree temperature range. You'll need something heavier if it gets colder than that. As far as quality and durability mine have held up well, I've had them about a year. I do recommend them to friends that ride horses."

Just Ok,September 8, 2008
By JoshuaCfrom NE PA
"These gloves are thin enough that they allow you to work with your fingers almost as if you were not wearing gloves at all, but they are not that warm. I have actually been able to type with these gloves on in a temperature controlled room without making to many mistakes.
If you were looking for a pair of driving gloves for use as long as the temperature stays above 30 degrees then the should work for you, but if you were planning on using them for anything else you can pretty much forget about it. The leather is not tough enough to use for real work and they sacrificed enough insulation for a warm glove in order to keep them thin. These will work for fall, but if you live in a place where it gets cold enough to snow, I would suggest not buying these gloves."

Poor Quality,March 3, 2008
By BrownStarfrom Milton, WI
"I purchased my first pair of roper gloves appr. 2 yrs ago from one of your stores. I liked the way they looked and felt and wore them briefly for everyday use and then I lost them! I decided to purchase another pair online in Oct 2007-they were on backorder for several weeks and when they finally arrived, the first thing I noticed is they were not as soft and the overall construction of the glove seemed to be of lesser quality than the first pair. I wore these gloves for everyday casual use for 30 days before the stitches began to fall apart. In summary I found the gloves to be of inferior quality and not worth the price!"

Kangaroo Leather Roger Gloves,February 20, 2008
By 1949LBfrom Kansas
"The most recent Kangaroo roper gloves that I purchased did not seem to be made of the same leather as the first pair that I purchased last year. The gloves purchased last year were very thin and soft. The most recent purchase seemed to be made of a different leather which was thicker and not as soft."

Roo - Brown vs Black,January 9, 2008
By RDT2from Houston, Texas
"I purchased both the black and brown lined Kangaroo leather gloves. The black were in stock and arrived last year - the brown were back ordered for at least 6 months and arrived this fall/winter. The gloves fit well but the difference is that the BLACK gloves have stronger leather, firm, but soft with a slight shine gline - the BROWN gloves are flat brown, with extremely soft leather. I am sure they are from different hide "lots" but the black gloves are much more durable than the way too soft brown pair. I would advise you to consider their use. Maybe i just recieved an off standard brown pair? The black pair, the first i recieved is outstanding, but the brown pair is below par for durability in my opinion! I have many different pairs of gloves - dress, hunting, yard work...winter sports....so this is the way i judged the gloves!"

Check Size,December 28, 2007
By Waterbuggfrom Georgia
"I ordered two pair of size XL for Christmas. One pair fit my tall thin 21 year-old son who has long thin fingers. My pair were too tight in all the fingers. I'm 5'11" 165 Lbs....not a big fellow and my fingers are not at all fat! The XL should have fit me, but did Not! The 2XL are just right. ADVICE - Order up on size for these gloves. If you wear a true 2XL, buy a different pair of gloves. They are very soft, warm, & comfortable when they fit right. Thanks Cabela's!"
