Marsh grass works well,

"I used the Marsh grass on my Northern Flight boat blind and it held up extremely well for 2 years. (2 panels per side) I bought new grass on sale in spring and regrassed it last month, its smaller and not as thick as I remember but I hope it holds up as well. (4 panels per side) Hope this helps."

"I have purchased this product in the past for our permanent blind. It is very durable and blends in with our surroundings very well. We take the material in after season, and let it dry before we store it, and it looks like it will last for several seasons. Just another great Cabellas product."

"This suff looks amazing out in the marsh just add a bit of the surrounding vegetation and you cant be seen. Bought extra sheets to build a small blind for walk in hunts too."

"The northern flight grass is a easy way to hide the blind, I
have used it before on other blinds , and the ducks and geese

"Used fast grass in the past for my goose and duck blinds. Decided to try this product to cover the roof of my Tikki bar. Bought 12 mats late last June and they started to MOLD and TURN BLACK only a few weeks after being installed. Took them down at the end of August and stored them indoors for the winter. Took them out the first week of June this year and they are now falling apart. Will be going back to fast grass!"

"These 3 boxes of marsh grasses were not the same quality as the 4 boxes I bought last fall. They were made different, of lighter construction and less durable. I would only recommend them to a friend if the earlier style was available.
Im sure I will continue to do business with Cabelas though.

"I recently just built a duck boat. I purchased this grass and got what i paid for. The grass really conceals my boat and the ducks and geese don't mind it. I had a 127 geese walking 3feet from my boat. If you ask me thats good coverage."

"I have attached this marsh grass to my duck hunting boat. It provides great cover for hunting near shore. It attaches easily to a boat or blind. The only complaint I would have is that the color, when new, is a little too green. But after a few days, the color faded nicely."

"Very dissappointed in this product. Not what i would expect from cabelas. I have not even used this material yet and it is already ruined. I purchased this grass in late november to put on my northern flight blind and didn't have the time to do it until now. I stored the grass outside, under a carport, inside my boat. All of the grass has mildewed to the point of turning black and some even has fuzzy white mold growing on it! While the air here has been moist- this stuff was not subjected to direct rain or water. What would happen if this material had actually been subjected to a hunting environment? The other grass materials that I have, have all withstood way harsher conditions and are going on two-three years. Very unhappy with this product."

"Pretty decent coverage, and very simple to affix to your boat. Only took about 1 hour to take it out of the box, lay it out, then fasten it on the boat's blind frame. It blends in well with the surrounding marsh, and you can always add grass, or other vegetation to it, to better match your surroundings."

"Excellent cover and very easy to work with. I use it for a duck/goose blind which is 8x12 and two 8 packs are more than enough for good cover. The original color blends right in with the marsh area that I hunt. Very easy to install on the blind and withstands both wind and rain as well as snow."

"I thought the grass would be alot more durable. I installed it and used it one time before the knots in the grass began to undo or the grass began to tear . I dont not recommend this grass to anyone there are plenty of other grass products out there to choose from.....not nameing any names...... IT is possible that I could have gotten a bad batch of grass also. it seems like the grass was very brittle and easily shredded. I am anxious to see what CABELAS is going to do about my purchase, a refund would be great or replacement grass in good shape would work for now i guess. The second split of duck season is here now hopefully they read this review and my good on the grass. I haven't tried to return this product,I'm not sure if it is a returnable product"

"The Cabelas Northern Flight Marsh Grass is effective camo if you're moving up from burlap. If you've used the original fast grass you'll be sorely disappointed. The mat is woven much more open (larger gaps), and the grass strands are not only thinner but shorter by about 10" each.
This product does not stand up to Cabelas standards and should be replaced by something more demanding sportsman could be proud to buy and use."

"Once again I have gone with the Marsh Grass for my duck blind. I had a great year hunting out of it last year and I continue to have success this year. It gets me through the season of nearly thirty days on the water before it starts to go away. It conceals well and works for even the late season ducks. I will continue to use this every year."

Marsh grass vrs Fast Grass,

"I hunt western Oregon. We have a 107 day season in which most times it is wet. I put Marsh Grass on 4 of my blinds and Fast Grass on another 4. Marsh Grass does not hold up as well Fast Grass. Will probably be able to use the Fast Grass another season...but not the Marsh Grass."
