"Purchased the sled/tote under suggestion from another duck hunter at the club. I hunt in the flooded rice and put my GHG goose and duck full bodies out each morning and bring them in at night. The sled/tote is perfect for placing a dozen goose decoys and two dozen duck decoys at a time. It also is useful when I want to move and change my regular floating decoy spread. I can stack a bunch in the boat and move them all at once saving me time sloshing in the rice. After a couple of days using the sled, I bought a second for my hunting buddy. Great product!!!"

"I have used decoy bags a slotted bags for years and decided to try the sled in order to cut down on miss steps in the muck and water in the dark. It is amazing how not having to carry heavy loads on your back makes an older guy a little bit more sure footed. I also really like the fact that when you pick up the spread you just drop them in the sled and then load it in the back of the truck for the next day. I also use it with my float tube when hunting sloughs as I can pull it in the water to places that I normally could only jump shoot due to the fact that I could not get decoys in or out of the area. I have also used it to haul loads of various types around the farm. It is a great investment and I will be ordering at least one more before the duck season gets in full swing."

"I liked this sled for the ease of transporting dekes in and out of the marsh and I would rather pull then haul over my back! But, I do not like its instability when my 85# lab tries to sit in it. It tips very easily if he is not still and laying down it leans to one side. Maybe it will take time for him to get used to it, but 1st time out this year it did not go well with Riley and this sled.
I recommend not using this as a dog stand or trying to float your gun-dog in and out of the marsh unless you can make him stay in a laying position."

"I borrowed one from a friend and decided I needed one for myself. Works great with decoy/game hauler cart. Float your decoys and equipment out to your hunting spot and then wedge it in the tules and strap it to a tule seat and have the dog load up and he will be out of the water and happier. Great dual purpose sled. Nest two together and you and your hunting partner only need one cart and you will each have a dog boat for your hunting partners! Replace the rope with something a little heavier when you get it."

Saved my 09 season…,January 31, 2009

"Saved my 09 season… I bought one of these sleds about four years ago and used it primarily for dog training, field trials and hunt tests. Moving bird boxes, gear and dead birds in and out of the field in large numbers can be a major pain in the neck. This little sled worked out great for that as planned….Then, rather unexpectedly; I ruptured a disc in my back early last season. Although I am much better this year and was looking forward to this year’s season, I was no where near 100%. I used to haul a loaded decoy bag strapped on the back of an old backpack frame that I converted into a dog platform. The platform works great when hunting in standing water since I can set up on top of the cattails and my dog is high and dry all day. I needed that platform in the field still but just couldn’t pack it in this year. I tossed all of my gear into this little sled all season long and it was a real lifesaver for me. It drags fairly easily on the levees especially if they are graveled. Even drags well on grass. Slick levees with nothing but mud is harder but not unmanageable. –and as soon as you hit the pond, it’s like a dream come true. It’s easy to turn on its edge and hide in the cattails, and can also be used as a dog platform under the right circumstances. You can line it with cut cattails ( to get your dog out of the water they will bring into it ) and as long as it is well supported by some vegetation it works fairly well. Top it off with the fact that I can stuff it in the back of my Subaru station wagon along with the rest of my gear makes it priceless."

"If you hunt small water, canals or swamps this it the thing to have. No more wet jackets and hands from handling the decoy bag. No more stumbling through the swamp with 12 decoys on your back. I thought they were silly when I first saw them but I am a big fan now."

"We duck / goose hunt in a swamp/river using a small sneak boat to get out to our blind 200 yards off-shore. Getting the decoys out and back was always a chore. The Sports Sled has worked great. We use a stand-up decoy bag inside the sled which allows us to get more decoys out. There is still room in the front of the sled for gear or more decoys. Tie it to the sneak boat, float out, and set your spread. The sides could be a little higher and I was hoping it would help my shooting!!; Great asset."

"I've had a chance to bring the K-L Sport Sled with me on my last three runs on my trap line. Up hill and down, through brush, over rocky terrain, over snow and iced in ponds - this sled has made the trap run so much easier. I bought this sled to help now with the trapping season, but intend to use it next fall during the duck season. If it works as well in the marsh as it's worked in the snow, it will prove a dual purpose life saver. Other reviews had suggested a better quality hand rope would be nice, and I agree. I will be adding my own. But, the sled is tough, handles the load I need it to and functions well. I can even use it going for rides on snowy hillsides, playing with my son."

"This has been a great investment! I've had no problems with a bag of decoys (18-24 weighted keels) a duck blind bag with all the hunting necessities (calls, ammo, gloves, etc), gun, and thermos. And it would haul out an added daily bag limit with no problems. The only suggestion for improvement, in my opinion, would be a couple of rope handles on each side of the sled/tote; otherwise, this item has been absolutely wonderful during the first half of season."
