"I have my feeder set up over 100 feet from my house and no matter the weather it never fails. The only downfall is the wiring. That small battery box gets very cramp and sometimes a wire comes off when performing battery changes.
But overall very good."

"I'm a wildlife photographer as well as a hunter and this remote really does the trick !! Not only has it kept the deer in when I needed it to it also brought in other critters as well ! We have had many hours of entertainment with them ."

"Simple to install, you will need a solar charger on a recharge battery, or it will discharge the battery over time. It makes the motor run about 5 seconds with the pushof a button on a keychain fob. Funny, though, the motor runs backwards as compared to the normal motor operation."

"I found this remote to work but not as advertised. It uses some current all the while it is connected. It works with the remote positive cable disconnected. I installed mine with a toggle switch and used the negative cable. While it does operate remotely, the advertising should be changed to reflect how it really works."

"It worked on some timers and not on others. On the timers that worked, it drained the battery within two weeks and I have solar panels on them."

"I've seen deer react to the feeder going off, so I thought it would be convenient to be able to activate it on demand. It is literally a plug and play setup for the American Hunter feeder. I also got one for another brand. It required splicing into existing wires and tying in with the alligator clips provided. Finding a location for the unit may be tricky for some units too. Once installed, it works as advertised. One note, the instructions stated that the battery would be drained if the unit is left connected. I rigged mine so the plug dangled outside the spinner so I can disconnect it when I'm not using it. I don't know how much faster it would drain the battery; it may not be much of an issue."

"A couple of things which do not appear in the ad for the product. The first is that it will only do a 5 second time - not adjustable. Also, it apparently constantly drains the battery as it is recommended that it only be used in conjunction with a solar panel. I wanted something to provide a 1 second shot of fish food on a non-solar powered fish feeder, so this didn't quite work out for me."

"This is an unbelieveable value especially when it is on sale. I have used several of these on a variety of feeder timers and they work better than the Mfg. claims. I have some working in excess of 350' with no problems. If you need a remote control for a feeder or other 12volt device, you cannot beat this deal."

"It's very easy to install to any of my feeders. Works at ranges farther than advertised (125 yards) if you have a clear line of sight. I use this for a smaller hanging tree feeder device I move quite often. Most of my hunting partners ask to use this when I'm not."
