"The leg adaptor kit works as claimed, but I recommend adding some aluminum 6' fence poles. They attached very easily and were solid."

american hunter feeder legs,
June 9, 2008
By cicidog

"as a welder and a farmer, you can not buy the steel now to do it yourself for that price. I myself have one already. one more on the way. I use mine on 5 and 30 gallon feeders. I cannot buy the steel now for that price. much less weld or bend it. put them on your feeder and cut 3 pieces of white PVC pipe, @ 4, 5, or 6 foot long to add the lenght, you want for your feeder to be. 2" PVC pipe. tilt the feeder to remove the pipe, no problem."

Just caught me off gauard when I was expecting something longer. But we are good now."

American Hunter Feeder Legs Kit,
April 4, 2008
By PennHunter

|
"I have used three of these kits to make tripod deer feeders. I positioned them to about the middle of a 55 gallon metal drum and then slipped 1.5 inch EMT conduit pipe over top to use as legs. You can adjust the overall height of the feeder by cutting the length of the EMT."

Great Leg Kit,
November 27, 2007
By oaktrail
|
"This leg kit works great with a 55 gal. drum. I tried this leg kit first with a thick plastic food grade drum, but the weight of the corn in the barrel(100lbs) made the legs push into the sides of the barrel and destroying it. You could make modifications to make this leg kit work with a plastic drum but I had a 55gal drum to use so I did."

"I've installed several of these. They install just fine. They could use some type of foot on the bottom because they have a tendancy to sink into the ground."

Great Product,
February 4, 2007
By MikeT
from Camden, Arkansas
|
"I ordered two kits and built two feeders from 55 gallon drums. The unit came with all hardware needed and is made from square tubing that could easilly hold 600 lbs. I was amazed at the strength of the materails and ease of install. I plan to make several more of these and I know that you would never buy an easier kit or build your own for the price that would be better."
