Know its limitations,October 20, 2009
By Mrrillafrom Tucson,AZ
"As an avid archery hunter, I suspected some of the limitations before I shot it. I bought both Snaro sizes and both work excellant for taking birds in flight. The smaller size will work for taking birds perched in thickets but do not attempt to shoot into anything soild like tree branches.
Do not shoot at birds on the ground as the wires will fold back. You might have to shoot a longer arrow so the cage can clear your sights. I have read some people tried to shot small game like rabbits and squirrels. I would suggest only shooting at birds because if the cage if caught on anything prior to hitting the target, knockdown power drops dramatically.
Overall, its a great product for its intended use. Unfortunatley most people can not take a bird in flight."

"Bird hunting has never been this much fun! Durable, accurate, and catch up in the trees well for easy retrieval. Also won't bury too far in the snow."

snaro bird point,November 16, 2007
By woodslostfrom Northern, Michigan
"While hunting quail in Northern Michigan it began to rain and the woods became dead silent with the mist. The birds waited until I was almost on top of them before taking flight. My heart leaped into my throat, but I shot quickly and soon a lone bird tumbled to the ground. My hunting tool? A #45 Ragim takedown bow and an always retrievable 6"snaro bird point. Ever shoot a bird in flight? Whith the Snaro Bird Point you can! Thanks Cabela's!"

Snaro Bird Point,October 1, 2007
By realtreearcherfrom Kansas City, MO
"These are really cool points. Used the six-inch points for dove hunting this year, so I couldn’t tell you how effective they are. They fly consistently and are pretty accurate. They make the arrow very easy to find and the integrity of the wire loops stay in tact after repeated shots. When the loops get bent, they are easily bent back to their original position. I’ll use them again next year and probably the year after that until I know first hand how effective they are on dove."

Snaro Bird Point,November 26, 2006
By Cabin13from Labrador, Canada
"Tried the snaro bird points for stump shooting and for shooting ptarmigan. I used my recurve with a 50# draw worked really good.Tough product enjoy using them. Won't lose them the wire loops keep them from going into the ground or to deep into the snow."

flu-flu and snaro combination,November 19, 2006
By haggismacfrom south-central iowa
"I have used flu-flu fletched arrows behind the snaro 6" snare tip with good success.I can only say good because my archery skills are just a little above average on the range.
I am a traditional stick bow shooter and have never used them on a compound,as I prefer an instinctive style without the gadgetry that seems to distract me.
I hunt waterfoul and pheasant. I would recommend this rig for any average and above archer, and like any set up,requires some practice. My son throws one of our retrievers training dummy's for me and that works pretty good.
The flu-flu's restrict range,so an eye for range is also required."
