Great Recurve,September 21, 2009
By Loochianofrom Williamsport, PA
"Look. If you are looking for a great beginner's recurve this is the bow for you. I have shot compounds for about 5 Years and i love recurves now because of this bow. I would recomend getting 50# draw weight. Also when you are buying this bow, go for the fast flight string. The string it comes with is a bit cheap. You will be happy with the accuracy of this bow. The only bad thing is that my thumb Knuckle rubs raw on the bottom of the metal arrow rest. I know this is going to do the job this archery season.
here is my slogan for this bow: All the Tradition you want, with the versitility you need!
Buy the bow you will be happy with it.
P.S. Make sure you use a 56 1/2 (60 AMO) fast flight kevlar string, 400 grain feather fletching (not plastic fletching) arrows with 100 grain tips. A bow Stringer to save your limbs. And One pin sight for extra accuracy."

Requires more attention to the fit and finish.,August 10, 2009
By Dodger65from Bangalore, India.
"Neither of the two limbs fitted into the bottom limb pocket. I had to sand down the sides of the pocket to make the limbs fit within.
The push-in limb bolt nuts that fasten to the limb bolts wouldn't go in either and I had to sand both the holes before I could tap the nuts in.
The sides of the limbs were rough, as were the nock grooves and I had to lightly sand down the sides with 400 grit and finished it with a couple of coats of Tru-Oil.
The serving on the string begins to unravel in no time and the arrow rest is cheap and cheerful but does its job whilst it lasts.
The camo dip finish is poor to say the least.
Having said all that, it is a good bow, especially for someone on a budget."

good bow for the money,August 5, 2009
By luke406from Montana
"good bow for the money, did have some problems with getting the pins in the riser to attach the limbs, the pins were too tight, had to lightly sand the riser to get pins pressed in. the bow string serving also started unraveling after about 15 shots, but that was an easy fix. over all a decent shooting bow."

"This is a good bow overall. it draws smoothly, and is a very good deal for the amount it cost. However, the riser is somewhat annoying to assemble."

Killer Bow (Cheap or not),August 3, 2009
By RespectTheSportfrom IA
"I would say I'm impressed but not surprised. I have owned Martin bows since age 10. Started with Jaguar compound, upgraded two bows including a Cougar three and now own a MOAB. This recurve is just what I expected from Martin. I truly believe many people go with other bows because Martin Archery sells for less... BUT THEY ARE QUALITY BOWS. Not been dissapointed once. This recurve is a heck of a deal. Don't be fooled by low poundage, this bow is plenty quick to do the job. All around performance is impressive. Martin service is always outstanding too. Good Hunting."

couldnt be happier,June 13, 2009
By recurvehunter00from St.Louis,MO
"I bought the 50# model and I must say I cant be any happier. smooth draw, quiet, and accurate. i also shoot a martin jaguar compound and all parts are interchangable. but do yourself a favor and use a release. it tears up your fingers. and it is smokin' at 200+ fps. it sure makes a difference when you take the cams off the bow. great bow."
