good stuff, September 2, 2009
By levergreenhorn from Upstate NY

"Like the Parka, the pants are good. All the suggestions above: sized a bit big, might want to add a different draw string... are all true. great camo pattern and will work well for me deer and coyote hunting this year."

Best Snow Camo I have found, March 3, 2009
By Brian31802 from New York State

"This is a great product. The only improvement I would suggest is to make them with additional size options, (i.e. tall size). The pants are a little short for me but huge in the waist, in the 2xl size. But as far as function goes, they work great, concealment is excellent."

Snow camo coverup pants, February 9, 2009
By ChasseurTireur from Canada, Qc

"Like the product say, they are COVERUP pants.
Take the time to put your hunting clothes on, and then, compare your measure with the sizing chart.

Few hunters told they are too big. They fit just right for me. I'm 5'11'', 190 pounds. I normally wear Large size and with my hunting clothes on, and compare measurements with the sizing chart, my new size was XL.

An elastic at the waist will be an improvement rather than the existing waist rope.

For the price, it's a good product.

Snow Camo, January 27, 2009
By CaryBoy from Upstate NY

"I got the pants to go with the parka I bought earlier. Generously cut to fit over your regular cold weather hunting cloths, although I'd recommend buying one size up from what you normally wear. Heavy material and well sewed. Great camo pattern. You blend right into the forest or field edge when snow is on the ground. This is a great alternative to buying a more expensive snow camo suit."

Great Product, January 27, 2009
By firsttimeturkeyhunter from Grand Junction, CO

"I loved the pants, They blend in great with the sage we have in western states, I love that I can pull them in over my insulated coveralls and I am warm and concealed. they are the most affordable snow camo on the market."

What you really need to know, January 7, 2009
By yoting

"I have owned a set of these coverups for 2 years now and have used them quite a bit here in Idaho. Here's the good-the camo pattern is great and they are very light weight. The bad-like everyone else found out, the pant sizes run huge! I tore out the baggy crotch first time I crossed over a barbed wire fence! The material is that of a bed sheet and is not very durable. It gets wet quickly then freezes stiff, snow sticks, and the pattern fades and blurs over time. No pockets in the pants and a thin white shoelace for a drawstring. Nobody would pay the $60-$70 for these if they could try them on first. You will be disappointed, I know I was. Buy from Cabella's, but just don't buy these."

Good looking product; HORRIBLE SIZE CONTRASTS, August 29, 2008
By ChetReed from Montana

"MUST READ THIS POST:

If you think about buying this product, buy at least one size smaller than you ever thought you were. I'm 5'10", 185 pounds, medium build and I purchased a large. THE PANTS ARE HUGE. I'm not joking when I say this, I had to do an experiment just for Cabelas and this review. I slipped on the size large pants and then I had my wife climb into the same pair of pants and they fit fairly easy over both of our waists, legs, and feet. My wife is 5'6', 125 pounds. Thank god for the waistline draw string and some thread around the house. I will have to hem the pants about 3-4 inches to come close to my height and will have to take the waist in about 10 inches to make then somewhat close to my size iwhile also considering that I could be wearing two layers of clothing underneath.

These pant sizes are not even close to the average size person.

Good side; Great looking camo and is the typical winter camo oversuit that will work great in the snow!

Needs some opening up, March 25, 2008
By swedehunter from Sweden, just south of the arctic circle

"I think the cover-up pants are real good. Like the fabric and the camopattern. One thing could make it even better! Once you put the pants on, its hard to reach anything that you have in the pocket of your pants underneath. A open part at the side of each leg would improv the pants. No need to attach pockets, but make it possible to reach the pockets that you "cover up" with these pants!"

coyote hunting, February 27, 2008
By coyotehunter2 from newfoundland

"These pants are great! Had xl to fit over other clothing with no problems. The pattern is excellent and I have called in coyotes to 15 yards. The only problem is the snow sticks to the material and gets wet, therefore causing you to become cold quickly."

Snow camo pants, February 21, 2008
By j1mdarcs from Eastern Nebraska

"I am Impressed with these pants they worked great as a snow cover for both coyote hunting and rabbits they fit well over my warm weather clothing although. I would like to see some elastic added to the waise band the draw string allows for a little baggy fit that tends to slip down when walking but they are very light weight yet durrable. not only was I concield from the game I was hunting but I had hunter walk right up on me without noticing me he claimed he could only see my rifle and thought someone had left it on the ground!"

Good Cover Pants, February 20, 2008
By KMFleming from Hawley, MN

"The pants worked great according to my husband, who I bought them for. I used Live Chat to determine the size, as he's 6'5" and there were no talls available, but they fit him just fine. I was a little disappointed at the rope drawstring waist (I thought elastic would have been better), but my husband said the drawstring is much better because you would always be hiking the pants up if you couldn't sinch it tight. He uses them when he is coyote hunting."

Coverup Pant improvement ideas, February 20, 2008
By Anonymous from Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada

"I have used these coverup pants over insulated work coverals without any restrictions, even climbing over barb wire fences in foot and a half deep snow. The camo pattern works well here in Manitoba Canada where I have sat by a 6 inch poplar along side a field and had a coyote trot by at 10 yards where he only saw me move the rifle up to his demise.
If I was to indicate a short fall, it would be that there is no way to get at pockets in the pants/coverals that you have underneath. Either a slash opening to reach inside on either side or, maybe a cargo pocket on the pants themselves to carry something in. I drag out my coyotes with a rope which is in the pocket of my coverals.
Another thought that I had would be to have a way of holding suspenders on the pants. I use an alligator clip type suspender and find the top fold, even with the string inside, will still allow the suspender to slip off. Maybe add buttons or even a thicker waste cord would help (I might do this myself using your string to pull the cord in).
