One tough shirt in cold weather,

"This shirt is a great buy at this price and holds up very well in extreme cold as one of the layers I wear when out hunting or hiking around the backcountry in Central Alaska. Even with snow coming down the shirt kept me warm! Shirt runs a little large but, provides plenty of room for layering. Definitely a must for any cold weather climate."

"A great shirt. Nicely made. Real wool can't be beat for warmth and style. Ok, if you wear it right over your skin it may scratch some, but with a nice cotton shirt on and this baby you'll have a great start to keeping warm this winter. Turn your heat down! Save some money -- just get a good shirt like this first."

"I purchased the Buffalo shirt for a mid September elk hunt in the Absaroka Beartooth mountains in Montana. It was fairly cold in the mornings but by midday it warmed up considerably. I only wore a polypropylene base layer with the Buffalo Wool shirt over top. It worked great keeping me warm riding the horse and hiking until it got too hot to wear. I wore it every day of a six day hunt."

"Thanks for my shirt. I had one like it for 20 years until it was stolen. Difficult to get wool rich shirts in UK so my wife located this one for me for Christmas. I like a big size so asked for XXL. The shirt that arrived is probably a shade TOO big but rather that than too small. It is very long also. I think American sizes are more generous than I am used to here in England. I love the shirt - I can wear it in place of my fleece on mild days, or under the fleece on cold days. I hope it last 20 years like the last one. Thanks again."

"Well-constructed, high quality wool shirt in blaze orange. I have two. Perfect for high visibility while bird hunting with a strap vest on days when you don't need a coat. It also meets many, if not all, states blaze orange requirement for deer hunting so its useful both as an outer or inner layer depending on weather. Perfect to keep you visible doing camp or farm chores after you've filled your tag while others continue the pursuit. It's wool, so it's warm even when wet."

"I found this to be an ideal shirt for November deer hunting. The shirt was roomy and warm-not overly uncomfortable as some wool shirts can be. My only complaint is the wrist cuffs are a bit too tight. It was difficult to wear a thicker watch."

"I purchased this shirt for the cold deer hunting season in Wisconsin and it was amazing! It provides the warmth and also stops the wind. Now that deer season is over I wear it for ice fishing. The shirts do tend to be larger than the size. The quality of woolrich is hard to beat, and they are worth the price!"
