Great for Elk quarters,

"Purchased the pack 7 days before season opened, went on 1 good hike to adjust it. I would advise this. It is quite adjustable and fit is comfort when talking about packs.
Used it in Gunnison CO, to carry a nice Elk out from 4 miles in the wilderness"

"I recently used this pack to pack and Elk out. The pack made the job much easier and not nearly as strenuous as it would have been had I packed the Elk out on my shoulder. The pack worked great and made it easy to load and secure each quarter. A must have for Elk hunters who shoot elk in areas where you can't get a truck or ATV."

"This unit worked great to carry my Double Bull Dark Horse deer blind & QS3 Double Bull Tri stool. At 55 it sure made it so nice to hike back hunting with little effort! Yes it can be used for many other uses but this was all I bought it for and works great and feels great on my body too."

"Just received this pack in time to take to Elk camp.
Used it to pack out a spike bull.
Loved it. I like the way you can tighten the load
close to your body so it isn't moving around on
your back.
The pads are excellent and the pack has great
adjustability.
It is much lighter than my old pack.
Great product, I definitely recommend."

"I had my concerns buying this pack due to the reviews of the top being un supported. Not true. this pack is totally supported and adjustable to your needs. Exactly what I wanted and needed for the Colorado high country. Great idea. Great frame. Great quality. This is the real deal. If you plan on a elk or deer hunnt in tough country this should br the frame for you. It is for me."

"I ordered the Extreme Outfitter Frame without realizing that the drop down shelf was soft with no support. Not for me. However I would recommend the Outfitter Frame pack if you want the support on the shelf."

"I have not yet had a chance to use the pack frame for packing out an animal. I have however had alot of fun packing around my niece and nephew with it. I find they fit very snug when I put the orange part around them and then you can actually tighten or loosen very easily, to the point where they cannot move at all, they more or less are just sitting there like they are getting "piggy backed", and they think it is great to have uncle cart them around all over like that. The straps are very cumfy and very easy to tighten even when you have it on. I can't wait for the day I can use it to take an elk out of the field."

"This pack frame worked great for packing out a moose. Enough straps and adjustments to do the job, but not so many that they're hanging around all over the place. The frame is tough AND light."

"A friend of mine won a moose hunt in New Hampshire last fall and they purchased one of these packs because when they put it on at the store it felt comfortable but once we put a hind quarter from the moose that we harvested and packed out on it we were extremely disappointed in the discomfort from the pack on are lower backs. It wasn’t just one person that tried using it and didn’t like it at all but instead all four people that were helping us out. We ended up using two Boy Scout packs that we picked up at a tag sale and just screwed a bar to the bottom it was a lot more balanced out and not stabbing in to certain parts of the body. I have never had a problem with any other cabelas item I have purchased since it is my most popular hunting store but I was very disappointed in the comfort of this pack."

"USED THIS FRAME ELK HUNTING.I ALSO HAD A OLD FRAME I TOOK ALONG THAT MY BROTHER USED. WE GOT A 5X6 BULL WE HAD TO PACK OUT.TOOK 30 SECONDS TO PUT ELK QUARTER ON THE XTREME FRAME & FRAME ON MY BACK. 10 MINUTES LATER MY BROTHER WAS STILL TRYING TO TIE A QUARTER ONTO THE OLD PACK FRAME..
I STRONGLY RECOMEND THIS FRAME.QUICK TO LOAD.EASY TO LOAD,VERY COMFORTABLE & HOLDS THE MEAT TITE TO FRAME..WILL NOT GO HUNTING WITHOUT IT."

Comfort is worth the extra money,

"I bought my frame for an elk hunting trip. After miles of trudging through snow my pack was still comfortable and unlike the others on the trip, I did not have to worry about a sore back or sore shoulders."
