As hunting conditions change, so does the amount of gear you need to be comfortable
and successful in the field. Finally, here's a pack that changes along with your needs, so you'll never have
to worry about having excessive pack space or, worse yet, not enough. At the heart of this system is a
spacious fanny pack (1,050 cubic inches), loaded with convenience features designed just for hunters. The
injection-molded contoured back panel delivers maximum comfort and lumbar support when packing
heavy loads. And the adjustable, detachable shoulder harness is fully padded and equipped with a
Buddy-Lok attachment system. In addition to the large main compartment, which easily holds a full day's gear,
the fanny pack has two zippered pockets, a knife pocket, an interior organizing panel and a water-bottle
pocket (20-ounce water bottle included). For hunts when you need even more gear and water, we also
included a detachable pack (1,150 cubic inches) that locks onto the shoulder harness. The
hydration-compatible pack has a spacious main compartment, two small outer pockets and a zippered,
10"W x 6"H x 2"D exterior pocket. When not in use, it can be rolled down and secured on top of the fanny
pack or folded over to form a compression pod for securing an extra jacket. Detachable pack includes hydration
reservoir and reservoir sleeve. Both the pack and fanny pack are constructed of Cabela's-exclusive CT450 Plus, a
rugged, super-soft material that remains quiet even in bitterly-cold temperatures. Imported.

Bad Design,September 11, 2009
By AKFamilyManfrom Wasilla, AK
"I bought this pack to use on my Moose hunts in AK. I don’t like it because the shoulder straps connect to the pack in the front on the waist belt. When you tighten the shoulder straps it pulls the waist belt up to the middle of your stomach. If they connected the shoulder straps further back on the belt it would work fine.
I am sending it back."

decent pack but HUGE,July 3, 2009
By shortstepfrom Northern Idaho
"I am not a small guy. In fact I am fat at 5' 9" and 230lbs. Point being this pack is huge on me. I do believe Shaquille O' Neal could wear it. I have used mine for two full seasons of archery elk hunting. I have had no problems with the zippers or overall durability."

Very Nice,January 21, 2009
By sandyhunterfrom Idaho
"I've only used this pack once-but was very happy with how comfortable it rides. It is super quiet in the brush and holds alot of items. I only wish that the fanny pack had two water bottle holders-one on each hip. Fantastic pack."

To large,January 5, 2009
By jboscofrom clayton, ca
"I am a 6 ft 170 lb hunter, and this product is way to big on me waist. I was unable to get the belt tight and had to rely on the chest strap to get it tight. Only used it once, probably wont use it again."

Just enough for the day,January 2, 2009
By JWAG72000from Central Pa.
"I have been using this pack for 2 seasons for short trips in the mountain. Works well for space and has many divided areas but is very uncomfortable on the lower back when it's full of gear. I wear a size large in most of my clothing with a 32 waist and have to pull the straps as tight as they go and still can't get it tight enough to avoid lower back strain."

Excellent construction, just doesn't fit...,December 14, 2008
By bachmanfrom Beavercreek, OH
"As stated, this Hybrid Hunter pack is made well. It has many pockets and theoretically it should work when looking at it.
The problem is, it just doesn't fit and carry well. The fanny pack does not support itself well, and the shoulder straps do not pair well with the overall pack combination. Basically, you must either use it as a fanny pack or as a light carry backpack. And neither way will it carry well. The torso is too long. My back and shoulders ended up hurting with even a light load.
I am currently selling this pack and purchasing a Badlands, Much better support is evident with the Badlands when I compared them. I am a little bummed out, because I wanted this Hybrid Hunter pack to work!! All of my other Cabela's purchases (and there have been "way too many"), have been top notch, however."

2 in 1 pack,November 22, 2008
By onegreatmasonfrom saginaw, michigan
"I can fit all in this pack and room to spare. The hip belt is a needed part of this pack. I can definitely carry this comfortably and not have an aching back. I like the buckle that fastens up across your chest, keeps the straps from falling off your shoulders. The people that complained about the hip belt not adjusting enough need to look a little harder at the pack belt. I can cinch it up a lot or let it out to fit around my bibs and parka. I am 6 ft 1 in and 214 lbs. I can definitely cinch it up for smaller than my 36 inch waist. Don't be afraid to buy this, you won't be disappointed as I am very hard to please with accessories. I do a lot of research before buying."

Backpack,October 14, 2008
By Wade007from Houston, TX
"I wear a 34 waste and I could not get this pack to stay tight around my waste. I don't know if this thing is made for someone larger in the mid-section than me or who it is made for. Other than the pack not staying tight around the waste this thing is pretty heavy even without anything in it. Doesn't matter so much on the flatland but when you get up to 12 or 13000 every ounce matters."

2 in 1 Hybrid Pack,October 6, 2008
By 3006remingtonfrom Saskatoon, Sask.
"Awesome Backpack for the price. I was able to fit everything I needed for my hunting trips and plus more. I like the option of taking off the top portion of the pack, especially for walking in thick brush. I strongly recommender it for people who are looking for a good day plus weekend hunting pack."

what a back pack,June 1, 2008
By OneWhitetailHunterfrom Livingston, Texas
"This back pack is the most comfortable one I've ever owned. It will deffinitely be going with me on my elk hunting trip this year. It is so comfortable that I even wear it while riding my ATV which is great as I don't have to stop and put in on in the field when I see my game."

kitchen sink,April 30, 2008
By greatwhitehunter2from Lafayette, LA
"If you are like me and like to bring your kithchen sink with in the woods to insure you have left nothing behind, then this back pack is for you. Most of my hunts, I detached my back pack and only used the fanny pack. Holds a ton of gear, has lots of compartments, and the buddy lok system is the BOM! Keeps those "quick grab" items close at hand. I love it. My brother can't believe how much gear I bring with me into the woods, but he never hears me say, " I wish I would have had my .... with me""

Great pack!!!!!!!!!,February 14, 2008
By JCMOEfrom Springville, UT
"This pack is the best. You can take the top pack off just for hiking close to home. With it attached you can carry all of the things you need in the field. It is a little big for those who are smaller in stature like me but it works great. The camo pattern is so detailed and colorful. It has straps on the bottom of the fanny pack to hold just about anything. I just weave them through the legs of my Tri-pod and it holds it there and it wont move around. The fanny pack will hold my spotting scope, first aid kit, GPS, E blanket, and pocho. The water proofing works great i went snow shoing just a few days after a big storm here in Utah and i was worried that my spoting scope would get all wet but it kept every thing nice and dry. I would recomend this pack for any one who is a big game hunting and would be gone deep in the woods for the entire day. I can hold up to Two liters of water plus the water bottle holder."

"I am satisfied with my Hybrid hunter 2 in 1 pack, I had purchased several hunting packs prior to this one all the others were good in their own way but the Hybrid Hunter had all the options I required built into one pack, It is spacious, I like the shoulder harness system, the Fanny is detachable form the back pack, and I was suprised to have it come with a hydration bladder"

loud hybrid hunter pack,January 28, 2008
By huntersgirlfriendfrom Texas
"We returned this bag for a different fanny pack. It was exactly what he had asked for at christmas from the catalog. But when we recieved it.. all the buckles made a lot of noise. Also, it was cheapy made. I would go with just a fanny pack without attached backpack or higher quality bag."
