A magnetic hatch door on this remote launcher makes loading birds easier than ever. Just set the launcher, then open the hatch to insert bird. Easier loading means you're less likely to lose birds. They run on a 9-volt battery (not included). The remote launcher has a range of 500 yards (remote not included.) Launcher only. Choose large for pheasants and ducks, standard for pigeons and quail. "I OWN 2 DT 505 REMOTE BIRD LAUNCHERS. AFTER USING THEM & USING THE DOGTRA BRAND I FEEL THAT THE DOGTRA IS A BETTER UNIT. THE DT USES A MOTOR TO ACTIVATE THE LAUNCHER & THE DOGTRA USES A SOLINOID. THERE IS A DELAY WITH THE DT BECAUSE THE MOTOR TAKE A SECOND TO OPEN & RELEASE THE BIRD. I HAVE HAD ONE UNIT FAIL & WAS SENT BACK TO DT FOR A MOTOR REPAIR. THIS UNIT IS BETTER, IN MY OPINION THAN THE INNOTECH. IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER AGAIN I WOULD PURCHASE THE DOGTRA UNIT."

"I purchase this item to help me train my own bird dogs. I had in the past taken dogs to professional trainers but since I now own more then a couple of dogs was looking to save money training my own from start to finish. Using a bird launcher is much more convenient then putting birds to sleep you can take all them time you need to work with your dog without worrying about your planted birds walking or flying away. If you have a dog that likes to creep DT's Bird Launcher is excellent at timing the bird release to help steady up a dog on point. Only negative has been twice I have had Quail get out of launcher. Would definity recommend this item to anyone wanting to train there own dogs to be their best."

"I HAVE USED THE REMOTE LAUNCHER AND SECOND LAUNCHER FOR SOME TIME NO MAJOR PROBLEMS JUST DONT FORGET EXTRA 9VOLT BATTERIES. WITHOUT THE BATTERIES YOUR DOGS WILL BE POINTING TILL NEXT WEEK CAUSE IT WONT WORK WITHOUT THEM."
